Mesmerising sight. - We arrived after a short, comfortable ride. Michael, the driver, supplied a detailed narration on the way to Kata Tjuta. Unfortunately, there was music being played at the same time, making it difficult to listen to his commentary. We arrived well before sunset and were served snacks and refreshments, including sparkling and red wine, beer, and soft drinks. On our visit to Uluru the previous day, we were not inconvinced by the flies. However, at Kata Tjuta, it was a different senerio. I would definitely recommend using a flynet. The timing of our visit coincided with a full moon rising on our return to Uluru.

Sunset tour to Kata Tjitu is a must. - We thoroughly enjoyed our sunset tour to Kata Tjuṯa. Our tour guide Aaron delivered excellent service, ranging from fascinating insights into the local indigenous culture and history, to serving wonderful snacks and refreshments. We recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Ayres Rock (Uluru) resort.

A highlight of our stay at Uluṟu/Ayers Rock - This tour was a highlight of our 3-day stay in the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. Apart from showing us the spectacular sunset view of the Kata Tjuṯa formation, our driver Macca provided a wonderful commentary which gave a thought-provoking insight into the sad decline of Aboriginal culture under the debilitating influence of 70 years of Western cultural intrusion into a civilisation that had previously thrived for 35,000 years. He finished by reciting a moving poem by a Northern Territory white man, addressing the tragic consequences of introducing alcohol to the First People of Australia. Many thanks, Macca.

Worth doing. - The sun did not set over the Kata Tjuta outcrop as shown in the booking photo. Access to the actual rock faces was not possible because there was a fenced in area. It was still a pleasant trip with decent hors d’oeuvres and wine. The site is used by several tour groups.

Beautiful Sunset View from a distance - Kata Tjuta at sunset is beautiful! The tour is very good for people with mobility issues or those who are just tired of walking. I had thought we would be close to Kata Tjuta but, it is really just fa view in the distance and, there was no exploring the area at all. So, my fault for not understanding that. But, I had been up before dawn and hiked around Uluru that morning so, probably not a bad thing! The food was not in any way "gourmet" lol - it was fine but just some packaged things brought out on some trays, don't think there were even small plates. In any case, the stories and info told on the 45 min bus ride were informative and everyone was pleasant. The view, as mentioned, although at a distance, was lovely at sunset. I would book something more of a hike next time but, at least I got out to see it.

Not worth the drive/price - The sunset tour of Kata Tjuṯa was very average. The driver of the bus did not explain anything about the rock formation on the drive there or back. He just drove us to the viewing platform put a table out with the drinks and nibbles. There was not enough seating for the whole group at the viewing area. We wandered off further on the track and found another area that had seats. The drinks and nibbles were plentiful.
