100% recommended! - I joined the Uluru (Ayers Rock) Field of Light Sunrise Tour on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, which was stunning! Having experienced both the sunrise and sunset tours, I can confidently say that this one is a must if you have limited time! The Field of Light installation was breathtakingly beautiful, and walking through it felt incredibly peaceful. The location was perfect for simultaneously viewing the sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta, creating a truly magical atmosphere. This tour offers a unique perspective of these iconic landmarks, and the tranquillity of the early morning made it all the more special. It is highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful way to start the day! - Beautiful way to start your day. So quiet with the beautiful lights in front of you and the sun coming up around Uluru. Worth getting up at 3:00 in the morning!

Not to be missed! - Watching the sun rise over Uluru is a very special & magical experience enhanced by the extraordinary Field of Light installation by British creator Bruce Munro. Excellent guide (Chloe?) and a smaller group. Preferable experience to the Sunset tour - if you only do one then this is it.

A must do, truly amazing - This is a must. Fields of Light is an amazing experience one that shouldn't be missed. Picked up around 4.30am, you are driven to the location and the sight is breath taking. Then watching the sunrise with Uluru in the background is not to be missed.

FOL - the walk through the lights was quite short, made it back to the start very quickly so take your time walking through. It was a little cloudy that day so unfortunately we missed the beautiful sunrise but still worth the view of Uluṟu in the background.

Field of Lights with Dinner: Average tour, but VERY expensive - While the Field of Light installation is worth a visit combining it with dinner was not worth the experience. Generous with drinks when we arrived at the Uluru vantage point to watch the sunset was nice. Very expensive tour ($600 for 2 people) and the food was the worst we had in the entire trip- a very average buffet. We almost missed getting the description of the stars as the person giving the talk had already been to several other tours that night- we had been instructed to leave the venue to walk through the field of lights when he arrived and he rushed quickly through the presentation. Would not recommend. Much cheaper and more enjoyable would have been to walk through the installation on our own and then go for a dinner somewhere.

Totally underwhelming - This expensive ‘field of light’ experience was disappointing from start to finish. Our group was in the last showing of the night & I’m not sure how these lights are powered, but they were dull & many of them weren’t working. The ‘journey’ along the path, was a track that took about 20 minutes to walk around, even though an hour was provided. There is no story, music or connection to Country, just a very ordinary ’money grab’ from the tour provider. The entire group felt the same way. The highlight of the night was standing next to the one gas heater (for 50 people) until the shuttle bus came 30 minutes later. Do yourself a favour & visit one of the local cultural centres. This will be a more meaningful experience for you.
