A fabulous trip, and we... - A fabulous trip, and we were so delighted to see such a variety of birds up close-especially the Puffins, Arctic Terns and their chicks, and Cormorants. The Seal colonies were impressive too. The Chapel was lovely, and the woodwork particularly impressive. We were lucky with the weather, and the only thing that would have improved the outing is the commentary being louder. It was really informative but quite hard to hear over the noise of the engine. Ticket staff, Crew and National Trust staff couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. Views of the coast- Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, and the beaches- from sea were beautiful. A really great trip with our grandchildren. Thanks.

Golden Gate Trip to Inner Farne a must. - Fantastic trip to the Inner Farne Bird Sanctuary. The crew of the Golden Gate were excellent and very informative. The lady who was at the kiosk when I checked in was lovely. Would recommend and the folks from the National Trust were also very helpful and knowledgeable about the island and wildlife. Get booked soon if you want to see the Puffins before they leave to go back out to see. I will do this trip again A photography must!!!

Superb wildlife boat trip - Wonderful small group (30) wildlife boat trip to the Farne Islands. The crew gave us ample time and opportunities to see varied wildlife and take photos. The highlight of a wonderful afternoon was a 1hr visit to Inner Farne to see puffins, arctic terns and other nesting seabirds close up.

Puffin Heaven and More - This was an amazing trip, giving us everything it promised. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, without stupid jokes. The island landing and walk were fantastic, always a very close up experience with the birds. Our trip was helped by glorious weather.

Perfect Puffins - Boat size was perfect, all passengers had great views from seats- not at all cramped. On our trip there was only 12 people which to me added to experience. Trip out to the Islands was smooth, with a little haze when we set off which soon lifted. We were lucky enough to see seals and a great range of birds , lots of young too. The puffins were a favorite with us. We were warned to wear head covering when we entered the island as some of the birds very protective of young and they do swoop and peck you to warn you off! Tour guide was knowledgeable but was difficult to hear at times. Lovely story about the Longstone light house and Grace Darling. 3 hour trip gave us an hour on the Island which flew in. Definitely recommend this trip.

Fantastic experience - Had a lovely time. Great being on a smaller boat rather than rammed together like some other boat companies. Amazing seeing all the bird life and cliffs from the sea but fantastic landing on Inner Farne and seeing puffins and terns at such close quarters. Even saw dolphins on the way out. Top tip…wear a hat..I was dive-bombed by terms and got s*** on but who really cares it enhanced the experience.

Lucky enough to sea dolphins at play - What a wonderful day we had, the crew Chris & Andy shared their vast knowledge of the islands and the wildlife of the Farne islands. The seabirds were with their little chick and it was surprising how close the boat got to the nesting cliffs. The very special bonus was on our return we were lucky to see a pod of dolphins and just to spent a few minutes watching them jumping out of the water was amazing. I would highly recommend this day trip.

Fantastic Farne adventure - A great adventure. The terns were just so aggressive, but this is Mother Nature. There as so much parental activity from the other birds. I will do this trip again.

Great island stop but impossible to hear commentary on board - Great tour to see the wildlife up close. The small boat used by Golden Gate was a bit noisy and the poor loudspeakers made it impossible to hear any commentary, which was a shame. I hope they take this on board and upgrade the speaker system.
