Mother nature was very... - Mother nature was very generous. Upon arrival, killer whalzs and whales were hunting. All credits to mother nature.
The vessel, the crew were top too.
A lot of interesting information was shared before the arrival on the feeding ground.
When sailing back, an interesting debriefing was held to clarify the carrousel feeding we observed.
Long story short: a 'must do'.... and if you don't see sea life, the fjords look stunning and will compensate.

Picturesque views! - Had a great experience: saw almost two dozen orcas, a quick glimpse of a humpback whale and stellar views of the islands and fjords around Tromso. With any nature excursion, the excitement and result is out of the tour operator's hands but this operator was very in-tune with where the most "action would be". The post whale watching debrief on the boat ride back to Tromso was really interesting and informative. I regret not writing down his name but our guide with a big burly beard led this session and made for a nice full-circle day.
Only knock is that we arrived at the assigned time only to find all of the window seats filled. Suggest arriving 15 minutes earlier than advised.

An experience you won't forget! - Dear fellow discoverers!
We joined this voyage on the 1st December 2024 and had an incredible experience!!
We initially booked the tour for a Friday and, when it was cancelled for a storm, we could immediately book a replacement for only 2 days later with no added fees (we also could have asked for a full refund).
The travel was through beautiful landscape and brought us to see both humpback whales and orcas. It is dark but not as much as you think and we could definitely enjoy both the way there and the view of the majestic animals.
The crew and guides were all so nice and fun and were really good at creating an immersive experience, showing also respect for the animals and their well being (also criticising other boats that didn't).
WE DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE TO EVERYONE!!
BE AWARE please that it is a 7/8h boat ride at sea so, if you suffer from sea sickness, be aware of that!!
The crew were very nice and willing to assist anyone that wasn't feeling well but in our group there were people who were very sick for a long time and we don't know if it's then a very enjoyable experience.
So take this into consideration and maybe grab some sea sickness tablets for that!!
Ps: fyi it is not allowed to smoke in or on the boat for the whole tour
PPS: our very nice, helpful guides were Stan, Daniel and the 2 Celines... So thankful for an experience we won't forget!!

Just enough time on a boat, spotted a large pod of humpbacks - We were fortunate to find a large pod of back whales and enjoyed them for quite a while, often up close. The boat was respectful of the animals, but did still try to position itself so that we could see the whales well. They would also always point out the positioning of the whales Relative to the boat. The guides were very informative and answered many questions, both about whale ecology and even the local salmon farms. We also saw a young orca and a couple of breaches. There is a stretch of the boat ride, which is a bit rocky. The boat is large and comfortable, but many people got seasick. I would recommend taking medication just in case. Obviously, this type of trip is dependent on a bit of luck, but I felt that the tour was run quite well and would have rated them highly even if we had not been lucky enough to spot the whales. We had four guides, two of them were named Daniel and they were excellent. It is also quite a nice way to enjoy the view of the fjords In the winter.

Magical - Really comfortable boat, strong WiFi to keep the little one entertained and the staff were so friendly and knowledgable. When my daughter started to get a bit bored at the end of the trip, Celine brought some toy whales for her to play with and it made her so happy.
We were lucky enough to see two types of whales, it was just a shame that the RIB’s kept scaring them away.
TIP: take an anti sickness tablet- they are not
Provided.
Looking forward to seeing the professional photos online when they’re uploaded. Thanks for a great trip :-)

Lovely view - In the boat was very comfortable with huge windows. Outside we had plenty of room to spread out, so no one missed the view to see the whales. I liked that we could ask questions, and the staff answered on the way back. I had fun even on my own.

Amazed - The experience was amazing; seeing the fjords is simply something you can’t miss. The guides are excellent—they provide great information and are funny. Even if you don’t get to see whales, since nature can’t be controlled, it’s still worth it.

Disappointing Experience - Unethical Practices - I'm torn about this review because the crew were fantastic – friendly, helpful, and professional. The boat itself was also very comfortable. However, the management's decision-making today left a sour taste in my mouth.
Last night, I received a cancellation notice for my RIB whale-watching tour in Skjervoy due to bad weather. The email explained that all local operators were cancelling due to unsafe conditions at sea. Yet, this company, with its larger boat, decided to go ahead and I assumed it do so because of the larger boat.
Just over an hour into the trip, they announced that the weather has worsened, and we turned back – conveniently, I suspect, after being out long enough to activate their "whale guarantee" (a free repeat trip that most tourists can't use). We never even reached the whale-watching area.
I understand that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, and I'm not upset about not seeing whales. What bothers me is that the company knew the sea conditions were poor, just like the local operators in Skjervoy, yet chose to go out anyway as they had a full boat booked. We returned to Tromsø 4-5 hours early, essentially making it a cancelled tour.
In my opinion, a full or partial refund is warranted in this situation. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic to avoid issuing refunds while still technically fulfilling the terms of their guarantee.
