A Fine City - We docked at Novi Sad (Serbia's second City) on Wednesday 24th July, 2024, whilst on an Eastern Danube River Cruise. Booked for a half day excursion tour around the City. First stop was Krusedol Monastery approx 30 minutes from the centre of Novi Sad. It's situated in a National Park. The building is quite small but had many frescos and oil paintings inside. The excellent tour guide explained all the details of the artwork. It was quite interesting and there is a shop for buying religious memorabilia. After this we were taken on a city walking tour. The city centre has some impressive buildings. We arrived at Liberty Square and saw the City Hall. The beautiful Mary Church is a fine structure. Although not a Cathedral - the locals call it a Cathedral. We paused for refreshments as it was very hot then resumed our walking tour. The guide pointed out periods of history and the Serbian Language. We continued our walk to the delightful Danube Park. Finally arrived at the Danube to our River Cruiser. A wonderful and interesting day. Would thoroughly recommend a City Tour if you get the chance.

Culture, kindness and luxury - all in one! - Srdjan and his tours are the perfect solution for us, lazy people, who like comfort and don't have time to explore the city's attractions on our own! We heard about "serbian hospitality", but this was faaaar beyond our expectations. Every detail and moment is perfectly planned. We felt exclusive and Srdjan's extensive knowledge completed the "cultural" moment that you rarely get! Totally recommend it and hope to see you on one of the other tours.
