Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Places Nepal Trek and Tours - Upon arrival in Kathmandu, look for a representative holding a sign that reads ‘Places Nepal Trek & Tours.’ They will escort you to your hotel.

A pre-trip meeting will be held at our office on either your first or second day. During this meeting, you will meet your guide and receive important information about the trip.

Please bring your passport, three passport-sized photos, and a copy of your travel insurance. If there are any outstanding payments, be prepared to settle them at this time. You will also need to complete some paperwork.

Kathmandu - Pokhara by tourist bus - 7 hours

Pokhara Lakeside - Early in the morning, around 6:30 AM, our team will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the tourist bus station.

We will take a bus to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city with stunning mountain views. It is a much more tranquil place than Kathmandu and serves as the perfect base for our trek!

Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) and Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m) - 4 hours

Tikhedhunga - After a short drive from Pokhara, we will begin our trek in Nayapul. We will walk along a river and reach the village of Birethanti. From there, we will climb up the side of the valley, stopping at various points along the way. Today’s hike is relatively easy, serving as a warm-up for the adventures ahead!

Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) - 5 hours

Ghorepani - Next, we will climb up to Ulleri, a large village situated higher up. After that, the trail becomes easier as we walk through a forest of oak and rhododendron trees. We will make several stops before reaching Ghorepani, our destination for the day.

Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) - 7 hours

Poon Hill - Early in the morning, we will hike up to Poon Hill, an excellent spot to watch the sunrise over the mountains. After spending some time there, we will return to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast. Then, we will hike through forests and descend to Tadapani.

Trek to Chomrong (2,140 m) - 5 hours

Chhomrong - Today, we will start by descending through a forest of rhododendron trees. We will pass through the village of Gurjung, home to the Gurung people, and then continue on an easy walk to Chomrong.

Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,950 m) - 6 hours

Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) - 7 hours

Annapurna Base Camp - Today, we will hike past a cave and Deurali, eventually reaching Machapuchare Base Camp. Although it is not a true base camp since the mountain cannot be climbed, this area is known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by mountains. From there, it is about a two-hour hike to Annapurna Base Camp, offering breathtaking mountain views.

Trek to Bamboo (2,345 m) - 6 hours

Machhapuchhare Base Camp - Today, we will retrace our steps, descending significantly to reach Bamboo, which offers several accommodation options.

Trek to Jhinu (1,780 m) - 5 hours

Jhinu Danda - We will follow the same path back to Chomrong. Along the way, we will see an experimental sheep farm. We will walk through forests and then descend to Jhinu, where we can relax in hot springs.

Trek to Nayapul (1,010 m), Drive to Pokhara - 5.5 hours

Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake) - We will walk along the river to Birethanti, a particularly pleasant and relaxing part of the trek. Then, we will take a short drive back to Pokhara. After checking into our hotel, we will visit Fewa Lake and enjoy a boat ride to Barahi Temple.

Drive Back to Kathmandu (1,400 m) in a Tourist Bus - 7 hours

Kathmandu - In the morning, we will drive back to Kathmandu. If you wish to extend your stay, there are many activities to enjoy, such as jungle safaris, rafting, city exploration, or mountain biking. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances.

Transfer to the International Airport for Your Final Departure

TIA - Today marks the end of our journey. Our representative will escort you to the airport for your flight home.

While traversing the Annapurna Sanctuary, trekkers are encircled by magnificent summits such as Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machapuchhre, and Hiunchuli. The journey provides breathtaking mountain vistas, cultural insights into Nepalese hill life, and a rich ecosystem.

  • The price you see is per person, but it applies whether you’re booking for one or two people. Here’s the catch: If you’re booking alone and we can’t find someone to share a room with you (twin-sharing accommodation), there’s a $200 single supplement fee you’ll need to pay upon arrival in Nepal. We’ll let you know before your trip if there’s someone to share with. This single supplement also applies if you prefer a solo room throughout the trek. In short, the price is per person, but a solo surcharge applies if you’re traveling alone and want your own room.
