Enjoyed Every Minute - This is our second time at the Las Caletas Beach and Adventure Park. Love everything about it. We did the zipline into the ocean and snorkeled. Love the choice of activities, how spread out things are, the helpfulness of staff, the welcome tacos, and lunch. We highly recommend for couples and families!

Awesome Princess cruise excursion - Las Caletas Hideaway with Vallarta Adventures was an amazing day out. Chai and his team were all very friendly and helpful. They are all totally focused on making sure you have a good experience. The boat trip to Las Caletas was lovely despite the cool weather and liquid sunshine! The time at the beach was relaxing, with lots of activities included. The buffet lunch was excellent with a great variety of items to choose from. The washroom facilities were conveniently located throughout and clean. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable Grand Princess cruise ship day excursion and well worth the cost. PS….the boat trip back was thoroughly entertaining. Thanks!!

Every day should start with a welcome taco! - Our group of 11 adults aged 21-60+ had a great time. There were activities for everyone’s tastes. The day started with a boat ride to las caletas where we were greeted with a map and welcome tacos! The more adventurous of us went ziplining and had fun with that- injury warning- do not do the bounce tube thing in the water “the blob”. We had 3 kids that were hurt and do not recommend that. The cooking lessons were great and all the food was fantastic. I do recommend the wave machine for surfing. The instructor was kind and very good and teaching all levels of ability. We even found time to relax on the beach before boarding the boat to return.

Fun for everyone - It was a great experience! We went with a family of 11, and all found something to do! Got to start the day with a welcome taco and coffee, followed by ziplining and surfing. Got to see lots of wildlife (sea lions, whales, monkeys, birds). All the employees were kind and helpful! The only negative is that we didn't know that it was necessary to sign up for the wine tasting, so we missed out on that.

Cool place, don't need to go again - Las Caletas was gorgeous, but meh. I don't need to go again. (It's in the same place as Rhythm of the Night, which is definitely worth it.) What took this experience from 3 stars to 4 were two key things: 1. On the way there we saw multiple whales and dolphins. The captain stopped the boat so we could watch the whales. It was incredible. The whole boat was in awe. We also saw a few on the way back. This delayed our arrival time, but so worth it. 2. Abril who led the wine tasting was fantastic. Our wine tasting with her was 100% the best part of Las Caletas. We learned a lot about Mexican wine, and drinking wine in general! She was also really funny. Some tips: 1. Eat before you board the boat. You get a breakfast taco upon arrival, but after leaving Nuevo Vallarta at 8, picking up people in PV, and then getting to the island, we were so hungry. 2. Pick a meetup place with your party. My husband and I got separated and it took ages to find each other again. 3. The Terrace Bar is gorgeous if you can make your way up and down the stairs and sand to get there. Overall, we were already staying at an all-inclusive resort and I'm not sure Las Caletas added to our experience, aside from the whales and wine tasting.

Day of Adventure. Felt Bad for the Sea Lions. - My wife and two elementary-aged kids enjoyed a lot about our day at Las Caletas. There was so much to do included with the price, including a kids' ropes course (donkey ride and zip lines, staffed by lovely people who spoke great English), adventure course elements for older people (zip line to the water, tube water slide, Florider pool where you can practice surfing), tasty food, an open bar, kayaks you could borrow (we didn't have time), and small beaches. The host, Chi, was like a cruise director, making the boat rides there and back festive with dance music, silly performances to introduce the staff, drinks, and more. Overall, the staff was attentive and friendly. The biggest bummer for us was seeing the sea lions swimming around in these two little pools. Apparently you can pay extra to interact with them while boogie boarding, but it didn't feel like their facilities were appropriate. My kid got sad seeing them coming up from the waterslide and it put him in a funk. Even now, a week later, my happy memories of the place are eclipsed by just feeling sorry for the sea lions. The ropes course elements should have been handled better too in terms of signage, staffing, and maintenance. Nobody told me, in Spanish or English, that I'd finish the zip line landing in kinda cold water, then immediately have to unclip myself to swim a little distance. I was cold and couldn't think straight. My kid banged his face into something on the ropes course because they told him to just keep looking forward. He was fine, but it wasn't ideal. The water slide was dark for a good part of the way, which was an unexpectedly scary surprise for me and my kid. The dunk tank didn't work, but no sign was up and it wasn't staffed, so people kept trying it and getting frustrated when the person on the platform didn't fall in. There were some pulley things to try lifting heavy things, but one was broken and we accidentally made the other one unusable since the rope got tangled. The Florider pool was not good for small people, as you need weight to resist the waves. The guide was nice and tried to help them, but my kids waited a while only to have 30-second unsuccessful tries in the pool. Given that we were in PV for such a short time, I wish I hadn't spent most of a day and so much money on this tour.

Do not recommend - false advertising - I took my family of 4 here through a ship shore excursion. The boat ride was nice - could have seen whales but since the boat captain only focused on the front of the boat and didn’t allow the boat to rotate - we were in the back of the boat (we were a very safe legal distance away and could have easily turned the boat) we couldn’t see them -only hear about them over their speaker. We get to the island excited to parasail (one of the main reasons we went) only to find out their “boat was broken”. Attempting to pivot I asked if our kids 16/20 could instead sign up for the sea lion snorkeling. I was told they “weren’t doing it that day”. Okay how about paddle boarding with a sea lion “nope not doing it today” okay well at least the kids can go on the flowrider - oh wait “also broken” while waiting in line for the 1 slide that wasn’t broken …… yep you guessed it broke while we were in line! We spent $757 for a boat ride, a very short zip line, 1 min holding an monkey and to fight with 250 other people for a hammock! Want to know what we were told they would refund. 15%!!!! Trust me it’s not worth it. If this company wants to do right refund us what we are due based on what we actually received!
