Wonderful Day of Exploring! - This was an affordable and well worth it tour! You get to experience 2 different cities and have time to walk around a bit in each. You'll have some wonderful scenery for pictures and have time for lunch while you're there! The tour guide, Adam, was knowledgeable and entertaining!

A Lazy (Hot) Day of Wandering and Snacks - Our guide, Franco, was friendly, knowledgeable, and well-connected. His confidence was evident, and we enjoyed the trip because of it. We went during the oppressive heat of August to have a down day, but it was still very nice. Expect to be transported in a comfortable (but likely very full) van to a couple of nearby beach towns for wandering and the usual market in the square. The sopes and drinks in Mauricio's restaurant was a fun addition. That sope was delicious! We've been to PVR many times, so we were happy to finally see these beaches. It's was a bit pricey, but we wouldn't have done all these things on our own in a taxi. We'll go back again when it isn't as hot as Hades. ¡Gracias por el buen día, Franco!

Beautiful beach towns - This was a highlight of our trip! San Pancho and Sayulita were adorable little towns. I didn't realize that there would be plenty of time to hang on the beaches in Sayulita. I only wish I had done a bit more research about this so I could have brought my beach attire. Our guide Jackie was so friendly and informative! She definitely made the tour amazing!

Small town experience - This was the best part of my trip to Puerto Vallarta. Our tour guide, Franco, was knowledgeable, friendly, and well Spoken. It was a unique Mexican experience to sample roadside fruit and local food in San Pancho. Would have loved to have spent more time there compared to Sayluita which was a little more touristy.

Great trip for all ages - This tour was recommended by the Amstar agent, Yaxi, at our hotel, Riu Vallarta. She went over many different trips and we decided to go with this tour of San Pancho and Sayulita booked through Vallarta Adventures. We were picked up right on time by a taxi and driven to the Vallarta Adventures meeting point, a short ride from the hotel. There we met the tour guide and the other tourists we would be with for the day. The Vallarta Adventures meeting place is beautiful. Lots of lush vegitation, nice bathrooms, a small cafe and snacks available to take on the road. Our van was very clean and the AC worked well. Our guide was Daniel. We were amazed and impressed that he could switch back and forth between Spanish and English so easily! I'm sorry I can't remember the driver's name, but he did a great job getting us to and from our stops. Daniel was very friendly, professional and full of facts as we drove to our first quick stop, a roadside vendor selling lots of locally made goodies. We were given samples of fruit candies. Then we made our way to San Pancho, a very quaint little town. Our first stop there was at Su Pancha Madre. We were met there by the owner who welcomed us to his restaurant, told us a little history of his place and served us a delicious herbal drink and sope filled with mushrooms. The restaurant was very cute with a lovely outdoor patio. We had time to meet our traveling companions at this point. We then moved on to the open air market where local vendors were selling their handmade products. We had time to walk leisureiy throgh the square and talk to some of the locals. We didn't get to see the beach at San Pablo, unfortunely. Our next stop was Sayulita, an up and coming little town well-known for it's beautiful beach and great surf. We drove though the famous "hippie market" and stopped in the center of town where we had about an hour and a half to go on our own to walk to the beach, look in some shops and stop at a highly recommended outdoor taco vendor for some delicious fish tacos. The town is so cute with lots to see and we are thinking it would be a nice town to vacation in at some point. By the time we made it back to the "hippie market" most of the vendors had left for the day so we weren't able to enjoy their goods. We found our van and Daniel very easily when it was time to leave. Daniel greeted us with cool towels to refresh our faces and hands and put on the back of our necks as we boarded the van to go back to the meeting place. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip because it gave us a taste of the culture of more rural parts of Mexico and that was exactly what were looking for. Thank you to Yaxi for recommending this tour and to Daniel for making the day so informative and fun. Highly recomment this tour for all ages.

Worth it! - The whole experience was so nice! It was nice having a guide to take you to the places and show you little shops you probably wouldn’t stop at. The sopes were super good and Sayulita had so many street vendors. Totally worth it

Wonderful experience - Such a wonderful tour. The guides were so knowledgable and the stops unforgettable. So much fun! One point of note was the challenge finding public bathrooms. At the places that did have public washrooms you were charged money to use them and given the amount of toilet paper you could use.

Touristy towns - This was an opportunity to see further countryside and quieter beaches. Our guide, Ramon, gave interesting insights of the towns. While the towns were a refreshing change from PV, they still were very touristy. Great guide & bus driver.

Fun towns, get a taxi yourself - Sayulitas and San Pancho are great towns to visit. But going on this tour was a little painful. The first hour was wasted just picking up people from different hotels. We also felt like we didn’t have enough time in each of those towns, and had to hurry back to the shuttle. Save your money and just get a taxi to take you to those towns (which are worth going to)!
