Unique and spectral place - Muynak ship graveyard is pretty far from Khiva. Despite the long distance I went there from Khiva. I woke up at 5:45 AM and came back in Khiva at around 10 PM. Muynak is 400 kilometers far from Khiva. I warmly recommend tripadvisor users to go to Muynak but not from Khiva since it is too far. The best option is to spend one night in Nukush which is halfway. In Nukush there is also a beautiful mosque to visit. You can reach the ship graveyard in a couple of hours which is something doable. The visit of the graveyard doesn't take that long...less than one hour. A little more if you also want to visit the related museum. I strongly wanted to visit this place. This is why I didn't care getting up so early. It is a very fascinating and kind of spectral place. It's not common to visit a place like that. Only a few ship graveyards in the entire world. it is also possible to climb on top of one of these old and rusty wrecks. A unique experience.

Book your own taxi ! - This is not a tour ! I will be asking for a substantial refund. This is a taxi ride by a non English speaker to the ship cemetery, and then a taxi ride back. No stops on the way/return at mausoleum, etc. and does not include entrance fee to museum (35k). If you want to go (not saying you shouldn't !) suggest you get yourself a taxi.
