Historical Tour - We took the tour with Rob to different historical WW2 sites and ended with a tour of the Courtroom 600. Rob provided a lot of context to the different sites that were very interesting. There is a lot of information that we learned during the tour.

Could be explained a lot better - This WWII “excursion” was part of a Viking Cruises extension in Nurnberg. Our group sat in the visitors’ area while our tour guide gave some details in a hushed voice thru her microphone to our earpieces. Other visitors came and went. Then there was a short video. Not very good. Room furnishings are brown wood. A cross on the wall was a post-trial addition. The room, on the second floor of the justice building and prison, seems small considering it held judges, accused, defence and prosecutors, interpreters and transcribers. There was no explanatory material available or bookshop. There is an elevator for those who do not like stairs. Much more could be done with this location to inform the public about this era in history. Note: Tourist Office on the main square in Nurnberg has a softcover book with b&w photos titled “The Nuremberg Trials: A Short Guide” for Euro 6.80. It comes in different languages. Very good.

Nuremberg world war ll tour - The trip was fine but I wouldn’t rate it outstanding. Tour guide was knowledgeable. They did not pick us up at our hotel as we were told. Emailed us that morning to tell us we needed to met them. We did not have enough time in the courthouse to see everything.
