Since 1919, the South Australian Farmers’ Cooperative Union made the location renowned for producing cheese, butter, margarine, and small goods, gaining worldwide recognition. This ceased in 1976. In 1991, using 1940s-era chocolate and confectionery equipment, the current owners began fulfilling their dream of creating beloved Australian chocolates and sweets.

Today, visitors can see the old cheese factory transformed into a large emporium-style confectionery shop, featuring five different rooms showcasing various manufacturing processes: the Chocolate Room, Depositing Room, Packing Room, Panning Room, and Toffee Room.

Woodside Cheese Wrights have been crafting high-quality, award-winning cheeses at their Adelaide Hills facility since 1994. Their sophisticated range of cow and goat milk cheeses is made by sourcing milk directly from small local dairies, ensuring excellent milk quality control.

Woodside Cheese Wrights are true artisans, handcrafting all their cheeses. Some varieties are seasonal, produced only when the milk is ideal for each cheese style.

• Hahndorf - Hahndorf is a charming town in South Australia, settled by 19th-century Lutheran migrants. It’s renowned for its original German-style architecture and artisanal food. The Hahndorf Academy houses the German Migration Museum, which traces local history. Enjoy a leisurely stroll and free time to explore.
• Mount Lofty Summit - Mount Lofty Summit, the majestic peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills, offers breathtaking panoramic views from Adelaide’s city skyline to the coast. Annually, over 350,000 visitors come to this peak, which rises more than 710 meters above sea level.
