An unforgettable experience with Laxman and Chanaka - What a wonderful experience! We were very lucky to meet Laxman, who took us with his Tuktuk for free as he happened to have to go in the same direction. But Laxman wasn’t just a driver – he was a true travel companion! During the trip he showed us some beautiful detours that we would never have otherwise discovered, and finally took us to a breathtaking park where we learned a lot about natural medicine. Although we didn't pay him anything for the ride, he went to incredible lengths to show us the best sides of his homeland. We asked him if he knew anyone who could drive us on our way to Nuwara Eliya and he organized everything perfectly for us. We were picked up on time and started the day with a visit to the temple in Kandy, where Laxman introduced us to the history of the place with a lot of passion and knowledge. It was fascinating how deeply he immersed himself in culture and traditions and took us on this journey through history. After our visit to the temple we continued to Nuwara Eliya – and here Chanaka drove us. Chanaka’s driving style came into its own here. Not only did he drive safely and quietly, but throughout the journey he made sure we got to the train on time. We always felt in the best hands and could really enjoy the trip without worrying about anything. Laxman and Chanaka have accompanied us not only as drivers, but also as real friends and contacts. Their hospitality and warmth have made our trip unforgettable. We can really highly recommend these two – they exceeded our expectations!

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya - a trip for the books! - Our trip in Sri Lanka is one for the books! A naturally beautiful country, the locals cared for their nature, culture and heritage for the rest of the world to see. We travelled with Lux Tours in 2 days between Kandy, Peradeniya, Labukele and Nuwara Eliya visiting and getting blessings fr the temples, learning about tea production, beautiful waterfalls, trying many fresh fruits on the way, experiencing nature in all it's glory and finally sipping fresh tea with the plantation in front of you. Mr Lakshman and Indikat fr Lux Travel are just the best guide to take you with their vast knowledge and passion about Sri Lanka and everything in it. Not to mention, we felt cared for and safe at the same time! Excellent service and highly recommended.

Very attentive and affordable service - In November 2023, we used the service of Lux tour during our 3-days stay in Kandy. Very helpful - sometimes overly helpful; lol - to show the beauty of Kandy and the nearby towns including Nuwara Eliya. Their service is 1) affordable in terms of budget, 2) never stop to help and most importantly 3) very very kind - especially our guide/driver Mr. Kesara. You will feel very comfortable and taste the famous Sri Lankan hospitality with them.

This experience is a must-do! - Having already had a fantastic day tour in Kandy with Laxman, we booked him again for a trip to Nuwara Eliya in his tuk tuk. He set up a wonderful itenery based on our wishes which included a tour of a tea plantation and a real wood carving factory. The scenery we went through was breath taking and he made numerous photo stops and organised fruit tasting. Laxman is kind, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. It was a wonderful trip and Laxman then organised great seats on train to Ella. One of our highlights in Sri Lanka!

Great! - Had a fantastic two days with Laxman. We went on a tour around Kandy seeing all the important sights and Laxman was v thorough in his explanation of the history around the area. Day two he took us to Little England and we stopped at various food places to sample the local food. We also visited a tea plantation. The scenery was breathtaking and we stopped at strategic points for some memorable photos. We would highly recommend Lux Tours as Laxman is a v engaging person with tremendous knowledge and is also an amazing tuc tuc driver! Thanks again Laxman for making our stay in Kandy v enjoyable.
