Endemic bird species such as the red-faced malkoha and the Sri Lankan junglefowl might be spotted. Fascinatingly, Wasgamuwa Park is home to approximately 50 butterfly species that butterfly lovers might find intriguing. Among these, eight species are unique to the area.
