The city center is highlighted by a stunning historic fortress, the Nyon Castle, originally built in the twelfth century and transformed in the sixteenth century.
- Morges - Morges is a charming town on the shores of Lake Geneva with origins dating back over 4,000 years. Today, it boasts a population of more than 17,000 residents.
Its main attractions include the vineyards of La Côte and its Château, classified as a historical monument, along with its military history collections, recognized as Swiss cultural property of national importance.
- Quais d’Ouchy - In Lausanne, within the prestigious district of Ouchy, lies the Port Lacustre d’Ouchy, which connects the city by boat to various destinations on Lake Geneva, as well as the Château d’Ouchy, built in the eleventh century and now a luxurious hotel owned by the Sandoz Family Foundation.
Nearby, on the Quai de Belgique, there is a picturesque promenade by the water and the Olympic Museum.
- Vineyard Road (Route du Vignoble) - The Route du Vignoble is highly appreciated for its beauty, winding through small villages among the vineyards of Lavaux, a region recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering visitors a unique view of the terraced vineyards, the shores of Lake Geneva, and the Alps with Mont Blanc in the background (weather permitting). Stops are planned for panoramic photos at designated spots.
- Aigle Castle - Aigle Castle was constructed in the 12th century by the Eagle Knights family. Over the years, numerous transformations have shaped its current appearance.
The castle is a key part of this tour as it houses the Museum of Vineyard, Wine, and Etiquette, making it essential for this oenological visit.
The Museum was established by the Brotherhood of Guillon to preserve the Vaudois vineyard heritage that was at risk. It showcases various tools, presses, stills, canes, bottles, and glasses.
The castle and museum visit is included in the excursion price and also offers a small tasting in the castle’s shop.
Whether a wine enthusiast or not, visitors will be amazed by this engaging tour that explores themes such as biodiversity, landscape, ecology, the art of winegrowers’ festivals, and harvesting.
- Lavaux Vinorama - Lavaux Vinorama is unique in Switzerland for exploring wines and vineyards on the terraces of Lavaux. Around 300 wines from the entire Lavaux vineyard are available for tasting, including white, red, rosé, and sweet varieties.
The Vinorama is situated in a restored natural site, next to a beautiful waterfall, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Inside, there is a high-tech projection room offering a spectacular film on the winemaker’s work throughout the seasons, available in several languages.
Visitors can choose from various tasting packages included in the excursion price, such as the “discovery” package: tasting of 2 white wines from Chasselas and 1 red wine from Plant Robert, accompanied by bread and butter flutes.
