Very interactive tour! - Dan is our tour guide and his knowledge about LOTR, I was impressed. Very interactive, very funny and very informative. The book he had helped us to re-imagine where exactly the scene happens and the views, WOW! He shared many facts like the behind the scene that we are not aware of about the LOTR. And the best of all, we had a chance to wear costume and feel like Gandalf, Arwen, or even a Hobbit! Overall, we had so much fun from the start to the end!

Fun even for people who aren't huge LotR fans! - I'm not a huge LoTR fan (some of my family is), but I still really enjoyed this tour! Tristan was a great guide and driver, and I loved seeing some of the areas around Queenstown, especially the national park. It really helped that he had photos from the movies to compare the landscape against. We also enjoyed dressing up and taking some fun photos in the forest. Really fun way to spend an afternoon, and I recommend it!

Fun morning out full of scenic views and LOTR trivia - Tristan was an absolute delight, best tour guide we’ve ever had. His knowledge of Lord of the Rings including locations, film trivia, and Tolkien’s writings was amazing with all sorts of obscure questions answered throughout the tour. The tour itself took us to multiple filming locations including a few spots exclusive to this tour. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Queenstown. Tristan also let us know of other LOTR experiences we could also look at including commercial and non-commercial options, and provided other local tips for getting the most out of our Queenstown stay. He also slowed down a few times for photo ops as we drove past local lambs and calves. He’s so good at his job and deserves a raise (and we only met him during the tour).

Awesome afternoon - don't miss this trip - We had the pleasure of joining an afternoon tour of LoTR locations, guided by the wonderful Dan. It was a real geek fest (aided by a couple of brothers on the bus), full of wonderful scenery and anecdotes about the filming (won't give away any spoilers). All credit to Dan who is extremely knowledgeable on the films and area. Perhaps we'll see him as an extra in the Hunt for Gollum😸

Lord of the rings location tour. - Our tour guide had a fantastic knowledge on all things to do with The Lord of the Rings and I found out things which I never knew before. Although it rained for most of the tour it was still enjoyable and getting up close to the film locations was great.

Great option to spend an evening! - Beautiful scenic along the way to Glenorchy! We visited quite a few filming locations there! Guide was well educated about the films (obviously) and super friendly! My only little complain which is not really a complain is about how long we spent in each location. I would like to have 5 more minutes. The weather that day was rainy (not too much) but we completed the tour successfully.
