Awesome experience! - The instructors are very invested in making sure you have fun! Everyone in our group caught some waves including inexperienced swimmer like me (they provided me a life vest which helped a lot). The instructors are very friendly and easy to talk to, I really enjoyed learning surf from them. They also took us on a snorkeling adventure which was absolutely amazing. We saw some turtles and different kinds of fish. It was a very memorable experience indeed. Highly recommend this experience!

Excellent family experience - Shane and Neil made my lifelong dream of learning to surf come true. We brought our two daughters (6 and 10) and they had a blast. We were worried that our youngest one would get a scared, but Shane made her (and us) feel so comfortable and madd the experience so fun that it didn’t become an issue at all.
We are so glad that we chose this company and you will too. Shane and Neil did such an amazing job teaching us the basics and we were all riding waves within the first few attempts.

Learn to surf from some pros - This was a great way to try out surfing! You get out on the water right away but get to practice first in a sheltered area where the waves don't come in. This gives you a good way to practice standing up on the board. After that you head out to where the waves are. Shane and Neal really want to make sure you have a great time. They will help you catch as many waves as you can before you get too tired. If you are a fast learner, they will let you try some more advanced stuff like catching your own waves. I had a great time and got some good surfing advice from them.
The water where you are at can be on the shallower side and bumpy, especially if you are able to ride the wave in. I recommend wearing a rashguard and reef shoes. If you don't have reef shoes, they may have some in your size that you can borrow.

Great lesson - Great experience with Noel, Tom and Chris. Only downfall was we booked a 2 hour lesson and were only given 1 hour. They seemed to think that was all the time we had so I didn’t say anything but maybe this site needs to be updated to list the time as 1 hour? In the end we got a great lesson just wish we had gotten the time we had paid for, per the Viator site

Surf and fun - Great experience and fun time with Shane. He taught me very good the bases so I could be able to catch waves pretty soon! The location was great and we saw some turtles too

What a great teacher and ambassador! - Shane was so accommodating and such a great teacher. My daughter and I were standing up and riding on our very first wave! Shane, passionate for surfing, teaching, and the island really shines through. 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend.

BOOK THIS!! - We booked a couple of different activities, and this was our favorite BY FAR!! Shane and Captain Neil were AMAZING! My husband and I had a great time learning to surf and caught some good waves!! I almost backed out because I am #1, not a confident swimmer, and #2, not exactly a fit person, but Shane and Captain Neil made this experience so great. They were super knowledgeable, safe, and patient with us. They don't take on more students then they can handle so we got a one on one experience. Both instructors have so much experience you are truly in the best of hands! Seriously, book this, you won't regret it!!

Best Surf Lessons in Waikiki - Shane and Captain Neil are awesome! We had the best surf lesson in Waikiki, everyone in our group was able to stand up and surf with their guidance and positive motivation. Even when our arms were tired from paddling, they helped push us along, which was very helpful. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We highly recommend them to anyone wanting to learn to surf in Hawaii, very friendly, great people!

Family surf Waikiki - We had an amazing experience!!! Shane, Captain Neil, & Kama were so awesome & 💯 experts!! 🤩 Most important to me was that we felt safe & comfortable out there & they definitely made us feel that way. It was SOOO much fun & we loved catching waves in Hawaii… dream come true!!🌈🌴🌺❤️

Best Instructors EVER, Especially for Beginner Surfers! - I've been wanting to surf my entire life. I grew up going to Hawaii almost every summer for family reunions, but never caught any waves. Decided to take the leap while here on business, and I'm SO thankful I took a lesson with Shane and Captain Neil! I called them and they were able to do a discounted lesson since I was just attending myself. I was super nervous about getting hurt and just nervous in general, but they were the BEST instructors you could ever ask for. Super nice and friendly, even brought me a reef shirt to wear! The personalized, 1:1 lesson was the best way to go, in my opinion. It helped having constant instruction and getting help paddling when my arms tired out lol. I was so impressed by how quickly I was able to pick up surfing, and I couldn't have done it without these amazing, patient instructors. Considering booking a second lesson before I fly home, thank you both Shane and Captain Neil for making my work-cation one to remember!
