Beware of hyperactive children. - “Slow” entertainment. Very interesting but you should be on the cruise because you chose to be. Uninterested children or adolescents can be very disruptive.

Excellent undersea tour - We saw lots of fish, an eel and some sharks. The guide was both funny and well educated on the sea life.

Awesome Submarine Adventure - We had a wonderful time on this excursion! Everyone we came in contact with was very nice and helpful. You have to be able to climb backwards down a vertical ladder to board the submarine and be able to climb back up to get out. Our Tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. We got to see so many kinds of fish, sea turtles and a couple of sharks. I highly recommend this excursion.

Submarine fun - It was great fun being in a submarine. We went down 105 feet! We saw 4 sharks, a ribbon eel and a porcupine fish, as well as many coral reef fish. I would go again.

An ok event for me - It was an ok event for me , didn't give an aha experience. Didn't see a lot of fish and water was not clear appeared bit muddy. I will only do this if one has a lot of time in Hawaii. The concept is good going under the ocean in a submarine maybe i can brag now i went in a submarine :-)

Worth it, but make sure the water is clear when you go (not after big storms) - We were looking for something to do that didn't require us to get transportation somewhere - how often do you get to go in a submarine?! It was a bit pricey but kids can be free if you book the afternoon time slots. This was a really unique experience, our oldest (17) said it was the highlight of his trip (it's so hard to please teenagers!). I definitely would recommend, however we did this excursion 2 days after a HUGE storm in the Islands, we hoped the water wouldn't be too murky but it really was not as clear as hoped due to all the sand/detritus kicked up from the storm. I was worried my husband would get sea sick from the boat ride out to the sub, but he did great, he did get a massive headache during it (he gets super motion sick very easily due to a head injury), otherwise it was fine for him. It was interesting to see the things Atlantis Submarines sunk for the sub passengers to view, I hope in future they sink a few more things, as they provide habitat for fish and life, the rest of the trip was just sand and seaweed. Maybe some lava rocks could be dropped in to provide a bit more visual interest and opportunities for fishes and marine life habitat. Otherwise, felt very safe, staff were friendly. However the only downside is as soon as you get back to the boat they are trying to sell you the photo they take of your group at the beginning, and start it by giving the littles a small keychain viewer with the photo in it, which is great but seriously kind of annoying tactics to get kids to want the photo package (which was 55USD I believe for a few photos and kids keychains), if you have littles you know how much they want to keep stuff like this, and turning down this kind of thing can cause fights and make everyone have a bad mood. I would do this for sure as a unique experience.

It's an experience but expensive - and then $60 to buy your photo - It's an experience to go to the bottom of the ocean. Also going to the submarine is a nice ride with nice views. I was expecting to see more - sometimes there was not much to see. The person giving the commentary was knowledgeable. It's quite expensive. They take a photo of you before boarding and then give you a hard copy (various copies) and a key ring (with your photo in it) - but this costs an extra $60!!!!!!!!!! The photo should be free. Overall, worth the experience but I don't think you would rush to do it again. I would be lowering the price.
