A tour of O‘ahu unlike any other - We had the pleasure of spending a full day with Evan and Ho‘omau O‘ahu Tours. Evan’s dedication to sharing history, Native Hawaiian culture, and his love for O‘ahu were evident in every moment of our day together. We traveled with friends who had never visited Hawaii before, and we started the day by being immersed in the complicated history of the islands. We were honored to visit the Iolani Palace grounds to learn about it and Hawaii’s last monarch, Queen Liliʻuokalani. Throughout the rest of our circle tour, Evan continued to share more legends and knowledge. For every natural wonder we visited we learned the inoa ‘āina—traditional Hawaiian place names—and also heard about the very personal connections Evan had from growing up on O‘ahu. Hawaii isn’t just a place. It’s a people and their traditions and history and so much more. A day with Ho‘omau O‘ahu Tours will bring you a greater understanding and appreciation of all this, brought to you by a knowledgeable guide with kindness and humor. We loved our day-long adventure, and we look forward to the next time we meet. Mahalo!

Priceless! - This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Honolulu. Our guide Evan generously shared knowledge of both the land & waters of Oahu as well as the culture and history of the Hawaiian islands. The beaches and lookouts we saw were stunning and the visit to Dan’s farm was a priceless experience. I highly recommend this tour if you are seeking genuine authentic truth-telling and deeper connection to Hawaii and its people and culture.

Fun, Informative, Personalized Tour! You Don't Know O'ahu if You Don't Book with Ho'omau O'ahu! - I had a great time and learned so much on my tour! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to make good on my intention to go on an authentic and critical tour with a Native Hawaiian when I learned that nobody else had signed up for the same slot as me, but Evan was gracious and agreed to take me around nonetheless. Learning about historical and contemporary life on O'ahu was such a fun and special way to celebrate my birthday and gave me something to look forward to after an enlightening but stressful presentation at a conference planned in partnership with the local community. The sights were beautiful, the history and the narratives Evan shared were powerful, and the pacing was perfect - there was plenty of space to take pictures, ask questions, and to enjoy a relaxing, non-rushed lunch before heading back to my lodging (this company offers pick up and drop-off which is great!). My nieces have requested that I bring them back to the island, and when I do, I'll be booking another tour with Ho'omau O'ahu. Would highly recommend!

Talk about being immersed in the sights, stories and traditions of Hawaii! He made us never want to leave Oahu, even though it was the beginning of our tour of all the islands.

Best Ohau Tour - I have been to Hawaii before but by taking this trip with my family, it was as if I I was learning for the first time. It was so educational and Evan took the time to take us to the best places and then share the history of each location. Knowing the significance to the Hawaiian culture made me appreciate Hawaii even more. I recommend this trip to anybody that’s going to Hawaii even if it is your fifth time.

Amazing tour! - If you are in Oahu, book a circle tour with @hoomauoahutoursinc. The company is the only locally owned that does a circle tour. Our tour guide, Evan, born and raised on the island was fantastic! We learned so much about the history and politics. Truly the best part of our trip. We are so glad we opted to do the private tour because it allowed for more questions and a deeper dive into the rich culture of the island. 10/10 would recommend.

An awesome day on Oahu! - Our full day tour was amazing! Evan was our guide and he taught us so much Hawaiian history. The tour was my favorite thing we did while on Oahu! He showed us so many beautiful locations including his hometown and favorite beaches. We got to see the lush countryside and we stopped at authentic local spots for shopping and lunch.
