Origins of the Hawaiian People - The large map in the exhibit showing the migration of populations, and the complete description of origins of the Hawaiian people ('indigenous').

Incredible Collection - This is a very comprehensive collection of many aspects of Pacific Island culture (with a reasonable focus on Hawai'ian impacts / legacy. There are many aspects they show with great collections of artifacts and reconstructed items. There is a QR code tour for your phone that helps with the information.

Worth a half day visit - You need a car to get here, and the parking isn't cheap. But it is a worthwhile experience. The building was originally a school and is beautifully made. We managed to get on a docent-led short overview tour at 11:30 a.m., which was helpful. Incredible history. I enjoyed the special room laying out the whole Hawaiian Royal family tree.

Exploring never ends! - WORTH IT! So many cool things to se and read about. It was one of the best museums I've ever visited. 10/10!! Be sure to make time to visit all 3 buildings. This is not a quick tour.

Great Overview of Hawaiian History - This is a lovely museum with a very interesting collection and overview of Hawaiian history. The historic building itself is beautifully maintained. Definitely worth a trip. Buy a ticket on line and they give you a nice discount. My only complaint is the price they charge for on-site parking, which is way, way, way out of line. Better to find on-street parking and walk in.

Good historic perspective. Needs refreshing. - Nice introduction to Hawaii history, and a lovely look at a building being purpose- built for this museum in the early 1900’s. The price of parking, however, was ridiculous. There’s no reason for an additional fee of $17.00 on top of the museum admission fee. No interactive exhibits. The museum has a sort of archaic feel to it regarding presentation.

Better double check the ticket price with the museum before you buy on viator - The museum itself was great! However I was told ticket is only 5$ on that day when checking in at the reception, and the ticket I bought on Viator was 33or4$ which is non refundable….

Refuses your refund requests - The museum was great, viator is a terrible company that refused to let us refund. Buyer beware just get your tickets there instead of going with this borderline scam of a company
