The Big Island - This was the perfect day trip from Oahu! They booked everything and we had no issues from beginning to end. We got a taste of the island, it's people, the food and the beautiful scenery all in one day. Our guide Henry was knowledgeable, funny and a great guide all day. I recommend this tour if you are looking for the highlights of a beautiful island!

Volcano Tour, 3/18, Tour guide Mel - Our tour guide/driver was Mel. He did an outstanding job. Very articulate, thorough and easy to understand. He even sent us some of his own images to supplement the ones we took.

Best tour I’ve done yet on the Islands. - I loved every minute of the tour. From the Coffee plantation to the volcanos to the lava tube and the rainforest. Mel was the absolute best tour giide with tons of knowledge. Very easy to talk to and ask questions.

Thoroughly enjoyable day. - Our driver/guide Mel was great providing loop it’s of information and context for what we saw. From the coffee farm to the lava fields and black sand beaches… and the amazing lava tube, he kept things on track and got us from Kona to Hilo without any issues.

Well worth it - Guide Mel was exceptional. Loved the coffee and lunch stops! Enjoyed all of his insight. He knew everything and had great stories. He was always concerned for our safety.

More than I could hope for - I honestly thought I would just see the volcano but, it was so much more! Henry was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely passionate about showing myself and others this amazing island (his families home for generations) and all about its history and current state. If you truly want to experience The Big Island and the true spirit of “Aloha” this is the one! Everything was amazing, from the flight over from Oahu to making new friends on the journey, I highly recommend this adventure!!

Volcano National Park - unforgettable - The Volcano National Park and all its phenomenal pieces was unforgettable. Lava fields, lava tube, breathtaking views - all were interesting and amazing. Our native guide - Mel was full of Hawaiian history and made the day fly by - so knowledgeable, thoughtful and kind. Definitely worth the experience. Thank you!

This tour is the one to choose. - The Guide makes the tour and Mel was wonderful. Talked a lot about the history of Hawaii as well as the volcanoes. We got to see and experience the impact of multiple volcanoes to the island. Plus the travel arrangements were easy.

Not bad but slightly disappointing. - Tour bus was older, rattled allot from the windows, fan belt squeaking and one of the front tires was needing a replacement. Our tour guide Mel was nice and very talkative. He liked to repeat the information in several different ways, to the point of am I going crazy or did he just say that three different ways. If I had to do it all over again, I would drive myself to the Volcano National Park and visit the sites.

Much to be desired - First and foremost I would not recommend doing this tour, just fly yourself to the big island and rent a car, much cheaper and you would be able to do anything you want, which there is much to see. I could have done without stopping at 5 different stores. Why did we stop at so many stores? Secondly time spent at volcano national park was very brief as other reviews have stated and really left me feeling let down. Had to hit the stores! However, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and we did have fun seeing the island. Definitely wouldn’t pay this amount for a tour of this sorts ever again. Just do your own thing you won’t regret it a simple google search of things to do on the big island will bring you to everywhere this tour brings you. Nothing exclusive or special about it.
