Mahalo - We had one night in Honolulu and wanted to go to a luau. Our ship was docked near the Aloha Tower, so we chose to attend this show. I purchased our tickets directly from Ka Moana and chose the Celebrity package. The food was delivered to our seats which were close to the stage. The meal was quite good and we enjoyed the welcome drinks. The performers were very good including the preshow activities, the various island dances and the grand finale fire dance. The only drawback to the show is that half the seats face away from the stage and are quite close together. It also is a bit on the pricey side, but was walking distance to our ship.

It was ok - We enjoyed it, but I can’t say it was fantastic. The tree climber guy was great! Food passable, I liked the fire guys. Bring rain gear.

Good Luau Option For Cruise Ship Passengers with a late departure time - In port on Nov 4, 2024 for 1 day on the Viking Neptune. Did a morning excursion, we had pre-booked this luau through Travel Shack. It was an easy 15-minute walk from ship to venue. About 14 of us went together. We met online via Cruise Critic but booked the luau independently under a single name and were seated together right down front in the VIP section, highly recommended. Food was almost as good as on the Viking, the show, very entertaining paying tribute to dances of Hawaiian & Polynesian forefathers. Enjoyed singing & instrumentals before & during dancing performances. The narrations were informative and entertaining, just the right touch of humor. A wide variety of dancing with the opportunity of some audience participation. We were presented with solo, male and female performances as well as both combined. The highlight near the end of the evening included dancing with fire torches. My observation was that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening in spite of a hint of a light sprinkling from the rain clouds above. We didn't need a light rain poncho, but recommend you take one if rain is in the forecast for the day you attend.

Amazing show - A friend and I went to this show and I have to say...hands down that this is one of the best shows I have ever seen. Emcee set the mood and Apu had me laughing the whole time. The food was great and the location was even better with the parking being so close to the location of the show. Musicians were great and dancers did a good job. 100% suggest this show is a MUST GO.

Entertaining but not original - We went to a luau when we were in Hawaii in 1994, ever since I have wanted to go to Tahiti because of the authentic people and dance. Tonight’s show was on a small stage, hardly visible port among tall buildings with the same 10 dancers doing all the entertainment. There were some cheesy acts, such as cowboys, and an MC that had to work hard to get the crowd to respond. The food was ok, drinks were adequate. We bought celebrity status, which I highly recommend, you get in faster, a real orchid lei versus a plastic shells, the best seats, and 3 drinks, and dinner is brought to you in a styrofoam container versus standing in a long line. The evening was entertaining but if you want a n authentic luau, you should look around.

Good show. - Pretty good food. Very good entertainment. But they need to make a rule that people may not hold up their phones and selfie sticks. To all the people in front of us doing that- you totally suck!

Security staff was Extremely rude. Not worth money! - I am requesting a refund for this event as my husband and I were asked to leave early because he was by the water away from the crowd smoking a cigarette. The security team was rude and even threw trash in his drink. Furthermore, paying over $300 to sit in a crowd of people was not what what I expected. There was no roasting pig and too many people to even move. I want a full or partial refund since we missed the last hour of the show. I will post as many reviews advising people NOT to attend this lauau.
