Manoa Falls Trail is an easily accessible “rainforest” deep in the Manoa Valley beneath the Ko’olau Range, just a 20-minute drive from Waikiki. Manoa Falls is a trekking course that is very popular among both locals and visitors.

The trail is 1.6 miles roundtrip and the hike takes 1 to 2 hours depending on your fitness level and the trail’s muddiness. While on the trail, you will encounter enormous prehistoric ferns, native Hawaiian species, and the snaking roots of giant banyan trees. Portions of Jurassic Park were filmed here.

After 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the 100-foot Manoa Falls and enjoy the cool and refreshing view of the waterfall.

Beginners can enjoy the hike. An early 2021 trail upgrade was completed, making the trail wider and easier to walk on. However, this is a rainforest, so when it rains, it tends to be muddy and slippery.

After the hike, we will take you to a lookout in Honolulu for a spectacular view of Hawaii!

Please Read - I give three stars for the lovely driver (despite not having the best english) and the fact I did get to go to Manoa Falls, which was lovely. But i think it would have been better to get an uber. It's was the same experience, but for a higher price. We weren't on a shuttle bus, just a private car. which I assume is because me and the person I was travelling with wee the only ones who booked. And because there was a pick-up time, we weren't able to go slow. The carport has a drop off zone for taxis and ubers so there's no hassle for uber drivers. This wasnt a guided tour, so there was no one to tell us were to go, but you don't need it. There's signs that tell you were to go anyway. If you just want a way to get to the Falls so you can wonder around then this isn't a cheap option for that. And if you want a tour guide and a social experience, this also isn't the tour for that. But once again it wasn't a bad experience and the it was nice chatting to the driver, but next time I don't think I'd go through a tour company for something like Manoa Falls. Its already very tourist friendly.
