The Coolest Yoga Experience, Can't Wait To Do It Again - The BEST way to end my solo trip to Oahu!
I traveled to Oahu solo, and sought out a bunch of wellness experiences. My trip came up really last minute, and a lot of the Yoga Floats sessions that fit into my schedule were already booked, but the owner Kelsey was so nice and went out of her way to help me arrange a private Light Up The Night experience.
Everything is so professional and clear with Yoga Floats, from the communication and confirmation email with clear directions on how to get to the location no matter how you’re arriving, to the awesome drone video showing you EXACTLY where to park and the meeting point (I was so impressed by this), to the class and instruction itself.
As soon as I was out on the water, I was in heaven. Class began at 6:30 just as the sun was setting (in February) and it was the absolute perfect time because I got to enjoy the sunset and do the glow experience. The water at this beach is so calm and was perfect for SUP yoga.
My teacher made it accessible and fun, her and I had a blast. She was so kind and guided me beautifully (as a long-time yoga teacher, I’m pretty critical of a good teacher!), also giving me some time to try things on my own.
She took some great pictures for me and I’ll treasure them forever. Being on the water in this way was the most magical experience - it took both the yoga and the sunset to an entirely new level.
The sunset and full moon were stunning. I loved it so much!
I can’t wait to be back in Oahu and book take more classes with Yoga Floats!

Peaceful yoga on the water - My family and I were beginners to SUP paddle board yoga and loved the experience! Imagine doing yoga on a paddleboard with colored lights with beautiful views and sunset lighting. People on the shore was very intrigued by what we were doing. Our instructor was very accommodating to all levels of ability. Make sure to wear your swimwear in case you fall into the water and wear swim shoes to get past the rocks on the shoreline. We were only waist deep, so no worries about falling in there. It was very peaceful and fun! I highly recommend this activity!

Funnest yoga class I have ever taken. - Great experience! You don’t have to be a yogi to participate! While it is a yoga class it is a more relaxed environment. You will fall just accept it, there is no shame in it and you are only in waist deep water. Get the pictures!

Ok Experience not worth the money - Yoga at night was ok even for a beginner. The girl we had didn't make me feel welcome and was more like a robot & seemed irritated, that was teaching this class. Half way through the instructor mentioned it was photo time and took pictures of some of the people doing yoga and not others. I thought she was going to get pictures of everyone and thought she might do more at the end. No more pictures were done, when questioned why only some people's pictures were taken to send to family or friends she replied you have to pay an additional 10$, but several of us were unaware of this. The instructor said not all sites have this information and we should have asked when she was doing pictures, that she announced photo time. How would someone know. All 5 excursions I had been on to this point took pictures of everyone and if you wanted to purchase them at the end you were given the opportunity. How would we know there were going to be no mre pictures taken. Rather than try to make it right or apologize for the misunderstanding, it was dismissed wich left several of us very disappointed. She could have announced would anyone else like pictures, we won't be doing anymore. If you want to run a business and not have people leave feeling disappointed, do pictures of everyone and if they want to purchase them they can pay, if not move on.
In addition one person in our group took a refund because the instructor didn't bring enough anchors for the SUP so one person couldn't participate.
I just didn't have the experience I thought I would.
My husband got a picture and I was able to share it with the person's that did not get one.
I just left feeling very disappointed.
