Seamus’s Hawaiian Shuttle north shore trip. - Seamus picked us up on time and was really engaging all day. He clearly knows his stuff and the benefit of a private tour meant we didn’t have to wait on other people every time we wanted to move on. We learned so much from him and his partner sandy was such a good girl! Thanks Seamus we had a really great day and will recommend you anytime! Mahalo

Fabulous custom adventure!! - Very personable, customizable tour! Shamus was our guide and was very knowledgeable. Felt as if we were traveling with family. Neat stops along the way, cocoa farm, sugar mill, macadamia nut farm, the beautiful Waimea Falls, shrimp truck, North Shore, swimming with turtles. Didn’t see too many turtles though. Overall, worth the experience!!

Small but mighty tour company! Highly recommend for couples! - This tour was worth every penny! We went for one full day during our honeymoon. Seamus and his loyal companion “Sandy Girl” were incredible tour guides. He has an incredibly vast knowledge of Hawai’i that helped us learn a lot in between activities while driving around. He took us to the former Sugar Mill, swimming at the Waterfall (with tour of gardens), the north shore shrimp trucks, and to visit the sea turtles. He was able to watch our stuff when the van was parked, take pictures, and even provided beach chairs to sit in while watching the sea turtles. We were able to spend as long as we liked at each stop which made it really peaceful. Other larger tour companies will take hundreds of guest per day across the entire island, but you won’t get an individualized trip and you may only be able to spend 5min at each stop. Seamus was super friendly and welcoming! He has lived on several of the Hawaiian islands and has a lot of great stories to tell! I really appreciated that he put safety first (making sure that we were safe but also that we were respecting the places we were visiting) throughout all parts of the tour.

A must - We used to live on the island and came back to visit, this time we wanted the experience we had not had while living here and Seamus & Sandy gave us just that! He was so personable and helpful! He made us feel like we were on our own trip but he was there guiding along! Highly recommend and will use him again

Do it! Amazing - Shamus was amazing! I tell all my friends to take his tour. Beyond highly recommended. He took us to the best shrimp truck on the island. Saw giant turtles in their natural habitats. We saw authentic tiki carving. Beautiful waterfall parks with stunning flora.

Untruths and Bias - It was truly after the experience that I realized how this tour was not what it could have been. The guide was very opinionated (and though we all have biases), his biases influenced where we went and what we were exposed to. For example, we did not visit all the shrimp food trucks, because he had a favorite, we also did not go to Dole Plantation due to his views on the organization. We were not told completely truthful information. Examples: we were told Dole (from Dole plantations) enslaved the Hawaiian people until the 1970s and no longer had a presence on the island. For this reason, he did not take us to the Dole Plantation which shocked even native islanders when we shared this. We were given an extensive tour of the plant life of Waimea Valley and our goal was to get to the waterfall - a 15 minute walk turned into 30 minutes. We were told there were no trees originally on the island until others immigrated to the islands and brought them (not true), we were also told there were no insects on the island until the "foreign trees and people came, that did not belong there" - also not true. And it is offensive to be told that other humans did not "belong" on the island (especially as a person from a marginalized population)- the rich Hawaiian culture is formed from others visiting and leaving behind gifts to the people and land. There are many other discrepancies and lies and all of these things impacted the reflection of my group's experience. We went to places that were promoted by the guide and not local and sought-after places to see/visit. We also paid for and selected a private tour, and we were paired with other people. We thankfully had a Lyft driver whose nationality and heritage is Hawaiian share places to go on our next trip and provide truthful information with his biases as a native Hawaiin.
