Originally constructed in 1899, it casts light nearly 18 miles into the Pacific Ocean. The parking area offers splendid views over Kuilei Cliffs Beach Park and along the coast towards Kahala. On the east side, the Amelia Earhart Marker commemorates her 1935 solo flight from Hawaii to California. Please note, this tour does not enter Diamond Head Crater!
- Koko Marina Center - Leonard’s Bakery is a Portuguese bakery offering Hawaii’s only Portuguese donuts! Known for popularizing the malasada, this fried pastry is slightly crispier and chewier than a doughnut and lacks a hole, making it a unique Hawaiian delicacy. - optional and time permitting
- Halona Blowhole - The Hālona Blowhole is one of Hawaii’s natural marvels, formed thousands of years ago by volcanic eruptions that created molten lava tubes. It occasionally shoots seawater up to 30 feet into the air as waves rush through the underwater tubes. - Sandy Beach Park - Sandy Beach, also known as “Broke Neck Beach,” is a drive-by or restroom stop. Referred to as “Sandy’s” by locals and known as Wāwāmalu, this beach on Oʻahu’s southeastern shore is famous for its excellent bodyboarding and bodysurfing conditions due to its peaky shore break and consistent barrels.
- Makapu’u Beach - Makapu’u Body Surfing Beach - Makapu’u, meaning “Bulging Eyes,” is located just below Makapu’u Point, marking Hawaii’s easternmost tip. Rabbit Island, situated offshore, adds to its scenic beauty. This beach is popular for bodysurfing and bodyboarding large waves. In the early days of the sport, it was along this coast that bodyboarding enthusiasts, including Jack The Ripper, were often seen catching waves. Like Sandy’s, Makapu’u has a fierce shore break ideal for bodyboarding. Overlooking Rabbit Island and Makapu’u Lighthouse, it was featured in the movie “50 First Dates.”

- Kualoa Regional Park - Chinaman’s Hat - Located on Oahu’s east and north side, Kualoa Regional Park is renowned for its view of Mokolii Island (Chinaman’s Hat) and is popular for swimming, picnicking, barbecues, and camping. Guests can take photos and use the restroom.
- Kahuku - Tanaka’s Shrimp Stand - No island road trip is complete without stopping at one of the famous shrimp trucks! - Waimea Bay - Waimea is renowned for its 30-foot waves in winter, attracting the world’s best and bravest surfers. In summer, the water calms significantly, making it an excellent destination for swimming, snorkeling, and diving.
- Laniakea Beach - Also known as Turtle Beach, Laniakea Beach on Oahu’s North Shore is famous for being a feeding and sunbathing area for Hawaiian Sea Turtles (honu).
