Highly recommended - We had initially booked the tour that included the botanical gardens and Waimea waterfall, but the tour company called the day before to inform us that our driver was ill and we were switched to the Byodo-In temple tour. We were disappointed as my wife was particularly hoping to see the botanical gardens (she is a florist), but we understand that these things happen. While we didn’t get the exact tour we had wanted, our guide RJ and driver Shaun made for a great day. RJ was extremely knowledgeable , entertaining and personable and Shaun stayed cool and collected while navigating us through some tight parking situations. Great work guys! Hopefully I’m remembering this correctly … hunu hunu nuku nuku a`poa 🙂

The real Oahu - Touring the temple and the drive along the North Shore were spectacular. This is an easy paced tour that lets you see the real Oahu, especially if you are fortunate enough to have a native born driver like Tyler. Great knowledge and funny.

Awesome views - Our group was small and Tyler was our driver. Very knowledgeable and added great commentary to what we were seeing. Offered to take our pictures too. Saw a lot of beautiful scenery. Well worth the money.

Our first day in Hawaii and it…….. - This was a very comprehensive tour. There is no part of it that I would say overshadowed the rest as each experience was excellent. Actually, there was ONE aspect that truly stood out above all the rest. That part was called Matthew. Our tour guide, Matthew, was a true gem. His driving kept us safe and comfortable, his commentary excelled, and his answers to all our questions were interesting, complete, and often witty. Thank you, Matthew, for our wonderful first day in Honolulu.

Best experience! - We had the BEST time! Our guide was knowledgeable and personable, just what we needed! It was a great mix of sights and things we didn’t know we needed to know. It was the best tour we did when we were there. I wish all my tours were like this one. If you don’t like crowds, this is the tour for you!

Did not meet expectations - Driver was friendly and tried to be informative. The lunch at the food truck was awful. Had to use your hands to peel shrimp, smelled like garlic all day. Too long at the dole factory. Not much to see at the Byodo Temple Not enough about the lifestyle on Oahu. I would not recommend this to others

Driver, not a tour guide, "I don't know, Google it." - The tour guide was not a tour guide, he was a driver. He was very nice and a very pleasant man but he was NOT a tour guide. His contribution to the tour was to point out at least 20 times his sightings of wild chickens and the occasional cow. It was raining and the tour should have been cancelled and money refunded. But they wanted the tour money apparently. Trying to alleviate the boredom we began asking about things we saw. His response; "I don't know, Google it."
