Oahu Sights & culture - My husband and I were delighted we did took this tour with the small window of time we had on Oahu Island before our cruise departed. Romero our tour guide was an excellent, engaging and very personable. He was very knowledgeable of the sights and of the Hawaiian culture. We would highly recommend it.

Best Scenic Tour - It is a small group and goes to some of the most scenic areas around Honolulu. We had a great time and learned much about each area we were taken.

Beautiful beyond words - Very beautiful views. Nice tour guide. But it was in a van and it was difficult for me to keep climbing in and out of the backseat.

I'll WALK before scheduling another tour with Trip Advisor! - My wife and I planned to take the "Stunning Views of Oahu" tour with Aloha Ke Akua Tours during the one day I was available to relax while on a business trip. Communication with Aloha Ke Akua Tours was lacking in that no pickup time or instructions were provided with the initial "ticket" and I had to call them the day prior to confirm if & when they would stop at our hotel. The next morning (the day of the tour), they did provide an e-mail and text message with the details of the pickup. We arrived 15 minutes early at the scheduled pickup location but the driver, Romero, was over 30 mins late. Romero did call 15 minutes passed the scheduled pickup time to let me know he was going to be arriving late(r). When the driver pulled up in a Ford Transit van and opened the door for my wife and I to enter, I looked inside to see about 10-12 other tourists packed into the van like sardines with only a single, rickety-looking 1/2 seat available, which was attached to the sliding door. I looked at the Romero and asked him where we were supposed to sit. He said, "Oh... someone can scoot over." I looked inside the van again and noted that there was ZERO room for my wife and me even if they did scooch over, which wasn't happening. I told Romero that we were cancelling due to the lack of room and he was very polite and understood. My wife and I were very disappointed and had no time to book another tour. Following our cancellation, I called the owner/manager/supervisor (not sure who they were) of Aloha Ke Akua Tours, who informed me that I needed to go through Viator to get a refund. The Viator customer service person was very pleasant and told me he would have to get an authorization code from Aloha Ke Akua Tours to issue a full refund. Then things got wonky. The supervisor from Aloha Ke Akua Tours texted me during my work day to say that he disagreed we both my assessment and that of his driver, that seats were not available for the tour. He told me that an overbooking "failure counts negatively" (for their metrics) and that he would not issue a refund unless I called Viator, cancelled my request for a refund, then changed the reason for the refund to say that "I just didn't want to go" (I'm quoting his text messages, which I kept for legal purposes.) Only then he would agree to issue a refund. We went back & forth and I told him that I wasn't going to lie so that his metrics looked good and he refused to issue a refund. I didn't have time to deal with him since I was working and was planned to deal with it when I returned from my trip but he eventually issued a refund. Lesson learned: Next time I'm just going to rent a car and drive my wife to all the popular tourist spots! Better yet, with the crazy expensive price of everything on Hawaii, constant flocks of tourists, and a (largely) non-air conditioned airport, we'll stick with taking our vacations in Canada!
