Highlights
  • Pearl Harbor National Memorial - We begin at historic Pearl Harbor where you will experience firsthand the earth-shattering events that catapulted the U.S. into World War II. Join us at the USS Arizona Memorial, a deeply moving and emotional experience where you will learn about the 1,177 seamen who perished when their battleship was sunk during the December 7, 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. You’ll witness the attack in a 23-minute documentary and then cross the harbor to the Memorial in a Navy vessel. At the Memorial, pay your respects to the heroes whose names are etched in marble in the Shrine Room. Look into the water and note the oil droplets – “The Black Tears of the Arizona” – that continue to escape the sunken battleship and rise to the harbor surface. Back at Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, there will be time to visit the WWII museum exhibits and the bookshop.

  • Dole Plantation - At the Dole Plantation you can visit the Dole Plantation Store. A gift shop where you can purchase a variety of pineapple-themed souvenirs, local crafts, and specialty food products like pineapple candy, jams, and dried fruit

Or purchase a Dole Whip a must-try treat at the plantation. Dole Whip is a soft-serve pineapple-flavored dessert that has become iconic in Hawaii

You can also visit the gardens where you can view the striking Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, they are a stunning and unique natural attraction. These trees are known for their vibrant, multi-colored bark, which gives the appearance of a “rainbow” on the tree trunks

  • North Shore - The North Shore of Oahu offers a scenic and memorable experience, filled with natural beauty, iconic surf spots, and charming local attractions. The North Shore is a mix of adventure, relaxation, and local culture, making it a must-do when visiting Oahu

Marvel at world-famous surf spots Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay, and Sunset Beach: These legendary beaches are known for their massive winter waves and professional surfing competitions. Even in the calmer summer months, they are great spots to watch surfers or enjoy the stunning shoreline

Gaze at the natural beauty of Oahu as this drive offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, lush green mountains, and rugged coastlines

  • Polynesian Cultural Center - Arriving at Polynesian Cultural Center, you’ll enter a world that celebrates the music, dance, and way of life on six Pacific Island nations: Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, and New Zealand. Explore a diverse spectrum of Polynesian traditions as you visit authentic villages for each nation. Meet Pacific islanders from across globe, listen to their stories and songs, and watch their joyful dances. Take a canoe ride from village to village and learn Tahitian spear throwing and Samoan cooking. Sit back and enjoy the colorful Polynesian Canoe Pageant and relax over a delicious barbecue lunch.

A day on Oahu - The communication and logistics for the tour were proactive and went as expected. The time at Pearl Harbor was good and allowed for us to take the ferry and watch the movie. The Dole plantation is really just a stop for pineapple whip. There is not time for the train or any actual tour or history of the property. I love the Polynesian Cultural Center. I had been there before and thought the time was rushed. I wish we had more time there. We stopped at a coffee/macadamia store on the way back after the Cultural Center and I wish we had skipped that unscheduled stop and maximized the time at our planned stop. Overall everyone was very friendly and our driver provided thoughtful commentary as we drove the island.
