• 2699 Kalākaua Ave - Jump on the Surf School Bus and we will get you from wherever you’re staying in Waikiki to the beach and up and riding! We offer a complimentary courtesy shuttle. Our knowledgeable staff will meet you at one of our convenient hotel pick-up locations. You’ll be stoked to ride in our air-conditioned, clean, easy-to-spot yellow Surf School Bus or white shuttle with our logo on the side. We will then shuttle you to our Ohana Surf Center located in the Waikiki Beach Marriott. From there you will get checked-in, geared up, will watch our safety presentation and then will be shuttled to the beach for some surfing!

Once by the ocean, you will meet your instructor and talk about your previous experience, swimming strength or any other concerns or conditions, then we’ll have you walk your high quality lesson boards to the beach. When you’re comfortable and ready, we leash ourselves to the board and into the water we go!

After the lesson, you’ll be taken back to the Ohana Surf Center where you can check out photographs, videos, or buy some merch for yourself or friends. Then after your purchases are made, we drive you back to one of our convenient drop off locations.

Our passion revolves around surfing and we offer three distinct learning methods: surfing, stand-up paddle, and bodyboarding. Our team consists of seasonsed professionals who are among the industry’s best instructors. We take great pride in our work and collaborate as a unified team, and as a family to ensure our students feel secure, relaxed, and successful.

SAFETY is of utmost importance to us! All our coaches and guides are professional, safety-trained (CPR, lifeguard, first aid), and amicable.

• 2 participant minimum required to book. Participants must be 13 or older and able to swim.
• If any participants cannot swim, please advise the staff ahead of time as a private lesson may be required.
• If any participants have medical conditions or injuries, please advise the staff ahead of time
• If you are prone to seasickness, you may want to take a remedy you are accustomed to using before the lesson (talk to your doctor for recommendations).
• These lessons are a ratio of 1 instructor for 2 participants.
• Please come prepared for the lesson by wearing your bathing suit, bringing a towel, and making sure to apply sunscreen ahead of time.
• All of our written materials are also available in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. We will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee, Japanese, Korean, Spanish or Chinese speaking-instructors without enough advance notice.
• Complimentary transportation is available from select locations in Waikiki. Exact pick-up location and time will be emailed to you by the supplier. If you do not receive these details 24 hours prior to your lesson, please contact Ohana Surf Project.
