Educational tour of Downtown Honolulu & Pearl Harbor - After booking the tour, Polynesian Adventure gave me a call to find a nearby spot for pick up since I was staying at an Airbnb vs a major hotel. On the day of the tour, our tour guide and bus driver picked me and my husband up at our designated location and drove us about an hour through downtown Honolulu and by the Punchbowl Cemetery while also educating us on the history behind the area and letting us know about upcoming local events during the holiday season. Rey dropped us off at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial and gave us almost 3 hours to go through each exhibit and to go on the boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial. My husband and I each paid $13 for the full audio tour (map and earbuds included for you to keep) which allowed us to learn a lot more about each exhibit and museum(s). The boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial was included with the tour (though you could also do the standby line if you wanted to redo it or go earlier) and allowed us to explore the USS Arizona Memorial for about 20-30 minutes. We then met back up with Rey, who drove us back to Waikiki. Overall, a very educational but pleasant experience for my husband and I to learn more about Hawaii.

Somber but needed to see - Rey was great... Not the Dopamine spike tour that one takes but as a Navy brat I had to come and pay my respects...for my grandfather signed up right after the attack on Pearl Harbor

Somber and educational - Picked up promptly at our hotel in Waikiki. Modern tour bus with great big windows. Did a tour of some of the most interesting places in and around Honolulu . Some interesting information shared about the history and architecture. Then we headed out to Pearl Harbor to visit the Arizona memorial and surrounding exhibits. We found this experience to be educational and moving. The sacrifices made by our veterans is staggering. This was a beautiful and inspiring memorial to our fallen heroes. We had just enough time to visit the 2 museums and the memorial. Don’t miss the short 20 minute documentary playing in the theatre. We did the audio tour (which was not included in the tour price) but was worth the extra cost.
