- Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon - Private Surf Lessons are 1 on 1 instruction for ages 4 years of age or older. (Ages 4yo-11yo may choose to tandem surf with the instructor)
- We will meet at the end of the parking lot at the ocean by a small triangular beach. You can choose the best size water shirt and water shoes….

- We will begin by doing a demo near the entrance of the water to help you feel comfortable with safety, paddling, pop ups on the board, and covering any questions you may have.
- This will be followed by an hour of practicing your surfing skills. Our instructors will be helping tow you if you are struggling paddling by yourself. They will also be pushing you on waves and helping you get comfortable with catching the waves.
- Once we paddle back to shore we will get all photos/videos uploaded the same day and send an email by that evening for your lifetime memories!
You are guaranteed to catch a wave even if you ride on your stomach, however most people will catch multiple waves standing during their first beginner lesson.

Meet at the end of the parking lot. There will be a small triangular beach on the ocean. This is a free parking lot. If you are unable to find parking here there is a paid parking lot to the right just before this lot. Call with any concerns. (We will do our best to answer the phone between lessons)

Catching waves in paradise - Jake is the man to go to learn how to surf. He was very helpful and provided feedback on each surfing attempt so that I could progress quickly. I had a lot of fun learning the fundamentals and catching some waves!

Good experience - Was a lot of fun. The waves are selected depending on the level. Was a good experience. Videos/pictures were even taken with a GoPro.

Great Surf School! - I had a great time during my lesson! It was my second time surfing and had so much fun! Jake is super friendly and gave good instructions. I can highly recommend Manifesting Aloha Surf School.

Must try - Great instructor and location, I cough more waves then any other time o tried before, highly recommended. We surfed right next to a beautiful rainbow during the entire lesson!

Amazing Surf Lessons! - 5 stars is not enough! Our instructor Jake was incredible with our 5-year-old son. Our son really wanted to learn to surf but was very hesitant to go on his first surfing adventure for fear that he would fall over. As soon as we met Jake, all those fears vanished, our son was instantly engaged and ready to hit the waves. They caught wave after wave and my son came back with no fear and a newfound love of being on the board, all thanks to Jake. We were staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation, and it was very easy to meet Jake, less than a 5 minute walk from our hotel to where they hit the waves. We strongly recommend Manifesting Aloha Surf School, thanks for an amazing experience!

Jake is the BEST! Took awesome photos and videos too! - Jake was absolutely amazing! We had the perfect day surfing at the bowls. I texted him earlier telling him that I had trouble paddling and successfully surfing in the past, so I came in with low expectations (of myself). But he coached me so well that I was able to ride probably about 7 waves, 3 of them without any assistance.
In addition, he was able to rent out one of his boards for my husband, so that my hubby could join us in the water while I’m doing my private lesson.
I couldn’t recommend him enough - he’s definitely one of the best beginner-friendly surf coaches around and is full of encouragement and positivity.

HIGHLY recommend for families!! - Jake was amazing!! on time! Great energy! My kids absolutely loved him. He had so much patience with my 9 yro and my 13 year old. The private was a must because my kids had never surfed before…the video and pictures were high quality. We highly recommend his lesson. We will definitely return for another lesson! Thank for the memories Jake!
