- Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon - Private Surf Lessons are 1 on 1 instruction for ages 4 years of age or older. (Ages 4yo-11yo may choose to tandem surf with the instructor)
- We will meet at the end of the parking lot at the ocean by a small triangular beach. You can choose the best size water shirt and water shoes….

- We will begin by doing a demo near the entrance of the water to help you feel comfortable with safety, paddling, pop ups on the board, and covering any questions you may have.
- This will be followed by an hour of practicing your surfing skills. Our instructors will be helping tow you if you are struggling paddling by yourself. They will also be pushing you on waves and helping you get comfortable with catching the waves.
- Once we paddle back to shore we will get all photos/videos uploaded the same day and send an email by that evening for your lifetime memories!
You are guaranteed to catch a wave even if you ride on your stomach, however most people will catch multiple waves standing during their first beginner lesson.

Meet at the end of the parking lot. There will be a small triangular beach on the ocean. This is a free parking lot. If you are unable to find parking here there is a paid parking lot to the right just before this lot. Call with any concerns. (We will do our best to answer the phone between lessons)

Add this to your bucket list! - If you've never been surfing before, you've gotta book with Manifesting Aloha! Jake is an amazing teacher! Explains everything you need to know clearly and is so patient. i have 0 upper body strength and was worried about it being too hard, but he even pushes you out if you need help so you can get more time doing the fun part! 20/10 would recommend!

Great surf instructor - Jake was absolutely great and we had the best time! We all got up right away and caught the best waves! Sara took drone photos and videos that were amazing!! I would highly recommend Manifesting Aloha Surf School!!

Such a great experience, she did it twice! - We signed our 13 year old up for her first surfing lesson on Christmas Day, kind of at the spur of the moment. She finished the lesson extremely happy and wanting to go again. Two days later she was back out on the waves with Jake. They provided us with photos and videos to create an amazing memory. This is a super friendly couple running a great business that allowed our daughter not only to get up on way more waves than she ever expected but to actually learned a little something too.

Very fun - I took his class and he made surfing a very approachable sport; he would break down how to surf and made my first experience very fun and easy. I would highly recommend taking their private lessons if you are a complete beginner or if you have prior board experience and even if you have some experience I believe that it would be in your interest to book a reservation because he makes getting out to the waves very easy as he pushes you out so you can conserve energy. I was able to ride my first wave on my second attempt due to his explanation and his expertise.

patient, encouraging, fantastic, and SAFE! - Jake was amazing! So patient, encouraging, a fantastic teacher. Good sense of humor as well. Don't believe any google articles telling you women can't learn to surf quickly or that you have to be super fit-- Jake had me standing on the second wave! He's great at picking them and supporting you with coaching after each and every attempt. As a solo woman, I always felt very safe and comfortable. Wish I could go back- this was the most fun I had on the island this week!

Catching waves !!!!!!! - Great experience for beginners. You will catch lots of waives. Instructor is easy going and very knowledgeable. First time surfing and was able to catch plenty of waives. Also, saw some sea turtles and enjoyed the view of the reefs.

You will definitely catch waves. Even as first timer.! - This was a great experience. It was my first time surfing. The instructor was very clear and helpful. To my surprise I was able to catch several waves. Saw some sea turtles and the reef. Would recommend!!!!!!

Can’t miss this opportunity surfing with Jay - I had such an amazing time learning to surf in Hawaii with Jay! He was so patient and professional, bringing great energy right from the start. He made every moment fun and was genuinely excited to help me improve. Couldn’t have asked for a better teacher!

Highly Recommended - Jake is super patient and an excellent teacher. We went to the wrong location originally and he had no problem guiding us and waiting for us to go to the correct location. He took a ton of great videos and photos for us. He also made sure we all caught waves. Highly recommended if you’re a beginner looking to have a great time and catch a wave or two.

Highly Recommend - Jake is so patient and a great teacher. He made sure we were all prepped, had practice prior to going out and caught some waves. He also took a ton of great video and photos. Highly recommend booking a tour with him.
