- Sandy Beach Park - Sandy Beach, located on the South Shore of Oʻahu, is known for its excellent bodyboarding and bodysurfing opportunities due to the shore break that occurs close to the shore. - Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout - Perched over a thousand feet above the Oahu coastline, the stone terrace overlooks Kaneohe and Kailua, Mokolii (Chinaman’s Hat), and the University of Hawaii’s marine biology research center, Coconut Island. Other landmarks include Hawaii Pacific University’s Windward campus, Kaneohe Marine Corps Base, and the Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden. - Dole Plantation - Founded in 1901, the historic Dole pineapple plantation opened to the public in 1989 as Hawaii’s “Pineapple Experience.” Today, it is one of Oahu’s most popular attractions. Visitors must try the pineapple ice cream and other products, and explore the plantation country store offering a variety of Dole Plantation gifts, local favorites, and refreshments, including the world-famous Dole Whip.
- Haleiwa Historic Town - Located in the middle of Oahu’s North Shore, Haleiwa is a charming surf town with restaurants, surf shops, art galleries, and souvenir shops. It’s a great place to find refreshment after exploring the South Shore. Enjoy the incredible North Shore beaches, and then stroll around for some window shopping.
- Shark’s Cove - One of the most famous snorkeling and diving spots on the North Shore, Shark’s Cove is rated by Scuba Diving Magazine as one of the “Top Twelve Shore Dives in the World.” This small rocky bay is part of Pupukea Beach Park and features blue water and abundant sea life, with large smooth boulders and coral heads forming small caves and ledges.
- Banzai Pipeline - Known for its barreling waves, Banzai Pipeline is one of the most famous surf spots on the North Shore. During winter, massive swells break on shallow reefs, making it a dangerous spot for only the best surfers. The pipeline is notorious for its huge waves that break in shallow water above a sharp reef, forming large, hollow curls of water that surfers can ride.
- Kualoa Ranch - Visit this incredible private nature reserve, a popular filming location for Hollywood movies and TV shows. Kualoa Ranch is a 4,000-acre working cattle ranch and one of Oahu’s Historic Places, located at the base of the Koolau mountains facing Kaneohe Bay.
