- Ala Wai Canal - The Ala Wai Canal is an artificial waterway in Honolulu, Hawaii which serves as the northern boundary of the tourist district of Waikiki. It was created in 1928 to drain the rice paddies and swamps which would eventually become Waikiki. It also serves as a primary drainage corridor for the rivers and streams that run through central and east Honolulu.
The canal runs from just northwest of Kapahulu Avenue along the length of Waikiki, then turns southwest to empty into the Pacific Ocean. Bridges cross the canal at McCully Street, Kalākaua Avenue, and Ala Moana Boulevard. Ala Wai Boulevard runs parallel to the west side of the canal in Waikiki.

- Diamond Head State Monument - We will take you through the tunnel and show you where to begin your hike, if you choose to return and hike world famous Diamond Head Crater (Highly Recommended). We do not enter the State Park and pay the fee on this particular tour. Great place to take photos, and on our Shaxi Sunrise Tours, this is one of our favorite places to see and watch the sunrise over Koko Head Mountain.
- Diamond Head Theatre - Opened in 1915, it is Hawaii’s oldest performing arts center, used to entertain the troops during World War II. This is a local’s favorite (secret) for current on and off Broadway productions, such as the Sound of Music and Murder on the Orient Express.

- Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort - One of the most famous hotels in the world, Located on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, the John Ena Estate was originally built on the site of the former village of Kalia, which was the childhood home of Duke Kahanamoku. Made famous by the likes of Don Ho and Elvis Presley, we recommend you spend some time at this massive property regardless of where you are staying.
- Hawaii Film Studio - Current filming for “Hawaii Five-O” and “Magnum P.I.”, but also known for major productions such as Blue Hawaii.
- Hale Koa Luau - Home of the only Hotel in the US fully owned and operated by the Department of Defense.
- Honolulu Zoo - Best Zoo in Hawaii.
- Kapiʻolani Regional Park - Queen Kapiʻolani Regional Park is the largest and second-oldest public park in Hawaii, located in Honolulu on the east end of Waikiki just beyond Kuhio Beach Park and the Waikiki residential neighborhood. Great beach access adjoining this beautiful park at the base of Diamond Head Crater.

- Leonard’s Bakery - Local fixture since 1952 for malasadas (Portuguese donuts), breads, pastries & other sweets. This is one of our favorite places to stop, if you choose. World Famous!

- Operation Red Wings Medal of Honor Park - One of many secret parks along the way, few know about the history and those who died in Operations Red Wings.

- The Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort, Waikiki - The Royal Hawaiian Hotel is a beachfront luxury hotel located in Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. One of the first hotels established in Waikiki, the Royal Hawaiian is considered one of the most luxurious and famous hotels in Hawaiian tourism, and in its 90-year history has been host to numerous celebrities and world dignitaries. The bright pink hue of its concrete stucco façade with its Spanish/Moorish styled architecture and prominent location on the wide sandy beach have earned it the alliterative nickname of “The Pink Palace of the Pacific”. On the beach is a great bar called Mai Tai’s and the hotel connects to the Outrigger with our one of our favorite places Duke’s. Duke’s on Sunday!!

- Waikiki Aquarium - It was founded in 1904 and has been an institution of the University of Hawaii at Manoa since 1919. The aquarium is the second-oldest still-operating public aquarium in the United States.
