Must do on vacation! - The staff was extremely polite and helpful. They were very attentive when serving our food. Our food was so fresh and cooked right on the boat, it was absolutely what I would expect at a 5 star restaurant. The event was very well priced, I would have expected it to cost more for the amount of service and food we got.

Delightful Dinner! - The chief prepared a delightful dinner. The sunset was beautiful. Although it rained some, the excursion was still very nice.

Good experience - The staff was great! The food was great! The boat is very old and needs some updating. I would recommend it if the price was better or if the boat was nicer.

Only Meh. Not worth the price paid. - Beautiful sunset, but 30 minutes of idling after sunset instead of traveling followed by forgetting dessert for the entire boat. Apparently, it never made it on the boat. They did bring a bowl of whipped cream, but didn't say anything about the forgotten course until we were docking. Staff was friendly and helpful, but not worth the price paid for the disorganization.

Boar failure, terrible experience - Do not book this cruise, we sat at the dock for 30 minutes, smelling strong diesel fuel while they tried to get the boat to move, finally the captain came out and told us they could not get the boat away from the dock and we would be refunded our money. We missed sunset and now Viator, who we booked the cruise through, is telling several of us who booked this cruise that, we will not be refunded, apparently they checked with the boat company and I don’t know what transpired, but we are not getting our money refunded. This cruise was approximately $240 for two adults, not a cheap cruise. There are so many other cruises out there to choose from, save your money for one of those other boats.

*DO NOT BOOK WITH PRINCE KUHIO TOURS - DISHONEST COMPANY* - ***DO NOT BOOK WITH PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC***!!! My family and I booked the *SUNSET* Dinner Cruise Tour with Prince Kuhio Tours on Wed, 23OCT 2024. This trip was a gift to my mother who always wanted to come to Hawaii and this was our last excursion of the trip. She really wanted to see the sunset so she picked this tour. Unfortunately, the boat broke down as we started pulling out of the dock and we were stranded on the boat for 40 minutes and MISSED the sunset - the whole reason for the tour. Because we were not still sitting at the dock, we could not leave the boat. The smell of diesel was so strong we had to move seats. After we missed the sunset, the bartender, Avi, and the girl captain with dreadlocks made an announcement that the boat was broken and they were trying to get it fixed. They informed *everyone* that we would be getting a refund OR we could rebook for the following night. Given we were leaving the next day, the later option was not possible. We all waited another 10 min or so and they came back to us and told us the boat had been fixed and we could either get off and rebook or stay and eat the food the chef had already prepared. They explained they would need to throw the already made food out, so since we were getting a refund anyway, we could stay and be comped (their words, NOT mine). So we decided to stay, even though we were now almost an hour later than we were set to leave. My mother also read-confirmed we would be getting a refund if we stayed by Avi. I was there - she confirmed it. As soon as we debarked the boat (we had no service beforehand), we contacted Viator and requested a refund. They informed me they would contact the tour operator, PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC, for a determination. Two days later, Viator came back and said PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC would not be offering a refund. I don’t know how they do it Kawaii, but I DO NOT take kindly to people and business who are *DISHONEST*. In addition, we paid EXTRA for premium seating (see ticket). To start, they sat *everyone* on the upper deck - some folks stated they just paid the regular price - another red flag this tour operator is a complete scam. I feel that PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC took complete advantage of the guests (all tourists), lied to our faces in a public announcement and kept us there under false pretenses. It was blatantly obvious that PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC, and their staff, did NOT care about the people on that boat that day and only cared about losing $$$. They knew we weren’t coming back to do business because we are all tourists, and that they are backed by Viator, both of whom only seem to care about the $$$. That tour was $500 for a family of 4 with “premium seating,” which was also a complete scam. I have video proof, but am only able to upload photos to this site. Video was sent to Viator, who still did nothing to correct this wrong. A side note about Viator: my husband and I have used Viator to book most all our excursions in three different countries over the past couple years. We have always had a good experience until visiting Hawaii. We booked five (5) excursions through Viator during our stay in Hawaii, totaling more than $3,000 (for a family of 4). This was my first major complaint with them in all the years we’ve been a customer (the two excursions prior to this one were sub-par and did not entirely align with the descriptions outlined in the booking reservation, but did not warrant us contacting them over) and, even with the information I presented to Viator from this experience, they still sided with the tour operator. I am very saddened to hear that both PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC and Viator scammed us for $500. This experience proved to me that both companies are more concerned with making a profit over than making it right for the long-term, in good standing customer. So, if you are going to Oahu and are thinking about booking a sunset dinner cruise or any other excursion with PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC or Viator, do yourself a favor and: 1. STAY AWAY from PRINCE KUHIO TOURS, LLC, and 2. Book your excursions through the tour operator directly. Viator lost a long-time customer with us just from this one experience. It is very unfortunate, but my family and I see what type of company Viator is now and we will not be continuing our relationship with them in the future.
