Most epic day ever! - The most epic day ever! We had some girls in our group who had surf before however I hadn’t. I have always had a HUGE fear of the ocean and I didn’t think I’d ever SURF… my boys surf and love the water so I knew this would make them so happy. I was ready to conquer my fear. Amy was our instructor and she knew how scared I was however she was unbelievably supportive and knowledgeable. Before we even got onto the water, she gave us a lesson on land. She taught me how to sit on the board, how to guide the board and rise up on the board. she taught me about the waves, what to watch for and where to be. Once she brought us out, she guided us individually towards the waves. As I sat there with her, waiting for my first ever wave, she continued to instruct me and teach me the proper way to do things. She pushed me in on my first wave, and I wasn’t able to get up right away, I think it was mostly due to fear. When I went back to her for my second wave, she explain to me what she saw, and how I can improve. I continued to take her instruction and learn from it. The next wave came, she pushed me in, and I stood up. Each time I went back to her I would explain how I felt, and she would guide me. I finally took my last ride, and I road it all the way in STANDING. The gal next to me said welcome to the ocean, we will see you back here again soon. She saw how much fun I had and a huge smile on my face, she just knew I’d be coming back. I have to say it was one of the best days of my life all because, my instructor was incredibly patient, incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely cared. I would give her higher than 5 stars if I could. Anytime I have friends/family visit and they want to learn surf, I know exactly where to send them. Thank you all so much!! I NEVER THOUGHT I’D SURF. My boys are so excited!!

Best surf school ever! - Amazing! I’ve done a 6 surfing lesson camp before and today, in 2 hours, I was able to do much better than 6 hours of training! I got to no only stand up but ride multiple waves to the end thanks to the amazing teaching skills of Aimee! She kept it simple and practical. I would recommend Aimee to anyone trying to learn how to surf

Awesome surfing experience! - We did a group lesson for an hour, and it wasn't part of itinerary... but we liked surfing the first time around that we wanted to try it out again, especially at North Shore. It was definitely worth it! The ladies definitely instilled confidence in us throughout the lesson and we stood up and rode those waves! Shout out to Josh and Aimee, for giving us advice when we were out in the water, also Hank for the photos! Really though, appreciate all your hard work, we hope to take lessons with y'all again if we ever visit again!

Vibes were good - I loved it. It was a 2 hour group and I get Josh and Pipa. Both were chill and wanted everyone to do good! They were caring and when we ran into an uptight local Josh was there to make sure it was a calm exchange. They will both let you move to the bigger waves if you ask. They care and I would take this class another 100 times.

Great Group Surf Lesson - Carol and Matthew were wonderful instructors! I learned a ton and they made my first experience surfing a great one. We were in a small group, so we all got great one-on-one time with the instructors. Really great and fun experience overall!

First Time Surfing - Had an amazing time with NSSG! This was my first time surfing and they were nothing but supportive and encouraging!

Carol was fantastic - Carol was a fantastic teacher. Even though we were a group of 5 she made sure to give you personalized pointers each time to help improve so you can catch the next wave. She made me feel very comfortable in the water (even though I'm usually a little anxious in the water). Highly recommend the 2 hour lesson as you will have rest time waiting your turn. Highly recommend booking with North Shore Surf Girls! Great memories.

Small Group Surfing Lesson - North Shore Surf Girls instructor Jen is terrific!! She is very patient and knowledgeable. I had a BLAST and highly recommend this activity to everyone - go before you get too old.

Great surf lesson at the North Shore! - I booked a group lesson with the North shore surf girls and it was awesome! My wife and I took a semi private lesson with them 4 years ago so I knew I wanted to go with them again this time. I was not dissapointed! Great intro and directions along the lesson. With Jen and Carols help I actually surfed most of the waves caught! Would def recommend them to anyone wanting to surf!

Good beginner surf spot! - We got an opportunity to surf 4-5 waves. It was a great experience if you were able to figure out how to stand. They provided feedback during the beach lesson (on land). If you are nervous about surfing or never done any board sport, I would recommend a solo lesson to feel more comfortable. The location is awesome! Love north shore. Get to work up an appetite for a food truck after.
