Turtles, Turtles, Turtles! - I had a great time going snorkeling with Charter Oahu. There was only 4 other people on the boat so it felt like a private charter. The crew was knowledgeable about the marine life and made me feel safe in the water as lifeguards. Not to mention we saw tons of turtles!

An amazing Snorkeling Experience! - Cannot say enough good things about this snorkeling trip—it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The staff were incredible: warm, friendly, and so knowledgeable. They made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, whether you were a seasoned snorkeler or a total beginner. They took the time to explain everything, helped with gear, and were always there to lend a hand. The highlight of the trip was, without a doubt, swimming with the turtles. Seeing these majestic creatures up close in their natural habitat was magical—it’s something I’ll never forget! The crew made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy the experience and even pointed out other marine life along the way. I felt completely safe and relaxed the entire time. The staff’s professionalism and positive energy really made this excursion extra special. It was so much fun, and I’ll definitely book again on my next trip. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for an unforgettable snorkeling adventure!

Fantastic crew, fantastic fun! - Charter Oahu was AMAZING!! It was a beautiful day and we saw a ton of sea life. By far, though, the best part of the trip was the crew. Lucy, Kelsey, Willow, and Bane were fantastic guides. While swimming at the reef, I seriously contemplated quitting my job to join the crew! A must-do for your time in Hawaii.

Fun & relaxing with turtles! - Lucy & Zain were awesome! Super fun, personable and laid back! Really let us do whatever we wanted in terms of venturing and diving down to check out more! Lucy was great at spotting cool wildlife and even diving down to the ocean floor to retrieve cool urchins and shells for us to see/hold!

Great time - Crew were great and the turtles were amazing. Got a bit crowded with other groups with too many people but the crew were able to lead us to a quieter spot where the turtles felt safe to come up.

Great Crew! - The crew was very informative and seem to really care about their customers. Shout out to Zane, Lucy and Kelsey! However, I was disappointed in the variety of marine life at this site. There were a few turtles as promised. The photo on the website looks like a coral reef, but I didn’t see any coral, just sandy bottom.

Better off walking off random beach than trying to snorkel with the masses off Waikiki! - The whole set up was somewhat boring (very little information provided), there were far too many people and boats in the area where we were trying to snorkel, and overall the location was not great for snorkeling.

There are better ways to see turtles - Turtle Canyon is located about 200 yards off the Fort DeRussy Beach. We went there at 9:30 am, and there were nine boats in a small circle, about 20 to 30 yards in diameter, with a huge number of snorkelers in the water looking for turtles. The water was not very clear, but there was not much to see. There were some fish about two or three feet long, but no tropical fish. We were out in the water about an hour, and only two or three turtles came to the surface of the water to breathe. As soon as one was spotted, people began screaming “TURTE!! TURTLE!!,” and everyone began swimming toward it in a huge cluster. The poor creature would quickly duck back below the water and disappear. So, basically, we saw nothing. Our “snorkel adventure” included an hour-long boat ride around Diamond Head, so it was not a total bust. The next day, we swam out to the coral reef off Fort DeRussy Beach, about a quarter of the way to where our snorkel boat was, and we saw much more sea life there. We didn’t see any turtles, but other people did.
