Exceptional MV all-island tour! - This trip was highly entertaining and informative. Sue, our tour guide is exceptional. She knows everything about the island, and she tells you all right at the beginning of the tour all the way to the end. Moreover, she is a great storyteller, infusing accounts of the rich and famous into her commentary. Furthermore, she is an extremely safe driver. Sue also facilitates picture taking by slowing down or stopping briefly whenever possible. We were not only able to see highlights of the entire island onboard her very comfortable van in 3 hours, we also got to get out and explore 2 different places with breathtaking views along the way. Thank you very much again, Sue! I cannot recommend this tour enough!

Great couples’ outing - Martha‘s Vineyards Tours and Excursions is a top-notch operation. The owners, Mark and Susan, couldn’t have been more helpful when I booked our tour. They helped customize a private tour for three couples. Tim, our driver and tour guide was great! He is a longtime Martha’s Vineyard resident, adding a personal perspective to the excellent information about the history of the island. We were able to stop at Menesmah for about 45 minutes to have lunch and walk out to the beach. I would definitely book with Martha’s Vineyard Tour and Excursions the next time I’m onIsland.

Excellent overview of Martha's Vineyard - We took a 3 hour MV tour with Martha's Vineyard Tours and Excursions. I bought the tickets on TripAdvisor. We were in a comfortable, air conditioned van and our driver/guide was wonderful Harry. Harry drove us to all the towns of MV, with continuous commentary. We enjoyed his anecdotes and all the information he gave us. There were two stops, at Menemsha and Aquinnah. We did not feel rushed at all and got a good overview of the Vineyard. Thank you Harry!

Nice quick tour around the island - This tour is meant for those who want to see all the major towns on the whole island (sans chappy). And keyword here is “see”, this is not a tour where you jump out at each location for 10min and take pictures. You spend most of the time inside the tour van listening to the guide and looking out the windows to see the sights. Personally that’s exactly what I wanted and I feel like it was properly pointed out in the tours description, even though some in our group felt like they were entitled to go off and explore some locations for as long as they wanted. You do make a 15min stop at the Aquinnah bluffs/lighthouse for some photo moments but it’s not enough to go up to the lighthouse itself so don’t try, just enjoy the view from the bluffs. Another stop was at Menemsha where you also get about 15min to use the restroom and maybe grab a local lobster roll before heading out. The tour concludes at the same place it starts and from there you can catch a local bus to explore more of the island on your own time. Overall I enjoyed the commentary provided by the guide and I liked the fact that you get to see everything quickly.

Disappointing….. - Our trip was scheduled for 1:30 pm August 28th. Our names were called and we took our seats, only to be told minutes later that we needed to get off the van and get on another van, because a mistake was made by the driver. The other van didn’t have a good working air conditioner and we were very uncomfortable…we were told to open the window. My sisters were sitting in the back with no leg room and very cramped! Needless to say it wasn’t a good experience ! The driver of this van did try his best to make it a pleasant experience. This bus didn’t leave until 2:00 pm and it shortened our sightseeing time before our ferry arrived. The older female driver of the van we were originally on, was rude to passengers and very unprofessional! This makes me very leary of booking any further excursions with Tripadvisor.
