Given that this is a leisurely route, we allocate about 1 hour for the transfer. Note: This tour is designed for individuals with prior biking experience and some physical endurance; it is not suitable for beginners.
- Tule Tree - We’ll take a break at the gastronomic market in Santa Maria el Tule for breakfast (if you choose the Food option), followed by a visit to the ancient Tule Tree. Afterward, we head to Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, which is 6 km or about 30 minutes away.
- Santo Domingo Tomaltepec - In Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, we’ll explore traditional bread and saddlery workshops, then proceed to the town’s water dam where we can relax and enjoy the scenery. After our break, we start our journey back to Oaxaca via the same route through Santa Maria el Tule.
- Continental Itsmo Tours - After resting in Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, we make our way back to Oaxaca, covering a distance of 16 km. We’ll take breaks for rest and hydration as needed. This return trip typically takes between 1.5 to 2 hours.

Led by a professional team, participants will embark on a bicycle journey from Oaxaca City, visiting various sites in two charming towns. The first stop, Santa Maria El Tule, is located 10 km from the city. Here, visitors can explore the local gastronomy market and enjoy a traditional breakfast (food option available), followed by a visit to the magnificent ancient tree. The second destination, Santo Domingo Tomaltepec, is 6 km from El Tule. Participants will visit the village dam and, if time permits, explore a leather craftsman’s workshop and a traditional bread workshop.
Note: The tour begins and ends by bicycle from a designated office or space in the city center, covering an average of 35 km round trip. Proficiency in cycling is required.
