A must-try detailed interactive tour of Oaxaca - The tour was much better than expected and highly recommended to anybody wanting to learn in more detail about Oaxaca’s culture, architecture, history, and people. In my opinion what differentiates this tour from the other walking tours in town, is that you get somebody who is very passionate and knowledgable about Oaxaca so you not only get a very well thought-out tour but the ability to ask any questions and get a deeper insight about the town. Gabo is very friendly and he ensures the group gets comfortable enough to make the tour as interactive as possible.

Fantastic tour! - We enjoyed the tour with Gabo. We learned plenty about the history of oaxaca. The areas that we visited were away from the main downtown area, and that made it extra special. Highly recommend!

The best tour with the best guide! - Gabriel is a fantastic and talented tour guide! We did the tour on our first day in Oaxaca and it was a fantastic foundation for the rest of our time in the city. We especially appreciated Gabriel’s ability to seamlessly connect local Oaxaca history to global events and issues. He is an engaging speaker, and we really liked that he shared his opinions with openness. Nothing he said felt rehearsed or disingenuous. Gabriel answered all our questions and we learned about the meanings and symbols found in street art and murals, how to tell which buildings are oldest in the Centro neighbourhood, and much more. Time flew by and we loved the tour so much that we booked Gabriel’s other tour on Indigenous arts and textile history, which was equally fantastic. It was so refreshing to learn about the art from the region with zero focus on European influences. Both tours are of incredible value and it is a great way to learn and situate yourself in Oaxaca! Not to be missed!
