We’ll gather at 7:00 AM at the Coyote Aventuras Office, signaling our arrival by ringing doorbell “A.” Located between Bicibella and Café Punto Paz on Macedonio Alcalá street, our trip leader will then provide a brief orientation before we embark on a tour to Cuajimoloyas, a remote town in the Sierra Norte mountain range. Cuajimoloyas is part of the Pueblos Mancomunados, a network of Zapotec communities sharing responsibilities in sustainable forest management and ecotourism.
Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy breakfast at Restaurant Bélgica, renowned for its traditional cuisine. Then, a community tour will introduce us to Comunalidad, the communal way of life, emphasizing community and environmental protection. Following a 10km hike through the forest, we’ll return for a traditional lunch before visiting the Cuajimoloyas hanging bridge. Finally, we’ll express gratitude for nature’s beauty before returning to Oaxaca City at 5 PM.
