Mitla half day tour with Angel - Pickup was easy from our hotel. It was a full sprinter van with driver and guide. Nice vehicle, a/c, comfy, good driving. We saw Tule tree, textiles, and Mitla on our half-day tour. Got a ride back to town with our guide and a separate driver while the arrest of the group moved on to hierve de agua. Angel was a fantastic guide. We'll rehearsed, great tour flow, smoothly transitioning between English and Espanol. Kind of a great language learning experience. He's also a great personal conversationalist. Tule and Mitla were honestly impressive. Tule is worth the additional ticket to get closer. The textile workshop was great. Walked us through the wool and natural pigment processing. Half day tour was honestly perfect for us, giving is half the day to cool down from all the info before the next tour.

Good day learning about Oaxaca. - We had a wonderful time seeing the Tule, Mitla, and weaving. Our guide, Angel, is great and the van was comfortable. It’s nice to have someone explain what’s going on at the various sites. I recommend you give it a try. It’s well worth the time and money.

Excellent tour. Friendly and punctual service. - Second time we took a tour with Lescas. Last year we took the half-day tour to Monte Albán and this year the half-day tour to Mitla. What I highlight about Lescas is that they are punctual and the treatment is very friendly. I recommend them 💯.

Well worth the money! - I've come to really like these Oaxaca tours. We visited a weaver, a mezcal distillery, a bakery, El Tule, and Yagul archeological site. All within the space of 6 hours. We learned so much and really got a feel for the area and its claims to fame. *Mitla was unavailable on this day due to wild fires, so the guides came up with an alternative that was just as interesting!

Whistle stop tour of Oaxaca’s highlights - Great tour for those who have already seen Monte Albán and want to experience more culture in a short amount of time. Our guide Angel was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and provided many recommendations for Oaxaca too.

Mitla Half Day Tour - more than half-day - This was a bilingual tour. The guide was incredibly personable and knowledgeable. That said, there were only 3 of us English-speaking people in the group. The rest all spoke Spanish. My Spanish-speaking skill is a bit limited, but it became evident pretty soon that some of the details were missing in the English translation. This was especially so with any of the question and answer exchanges. It was also evident that the tour was actually comprised of several us who had actually booked different tours! I expected a half-day tour, expecting to be in Mitla in the morning while it was a bit cooler. I ended up with the group at the Tree of Tula, then the textile educational place, then the Mezcal tasting, all before getting to Mitla. We apparently only “toured” a small portion of Mitla (according to friends who have been when we compared notes). We then stopped for the buffet lunch before finally getting a ride back to town. While all was certainly pleasant and educational, it was not what I expected nor frankly what I was prepared and interested in doing. Everyone associated with the tour was beyond friendly and engaging, as were my fellow tour participants. I would definitely book a Viator tour in the future - I just know now to be a bit more inquisitive to assure I’m on the right tour and know what to expect.

Easy way to see a few sites. - Our guide, Angel, was knowledgeable and eager to share his passion for the area. We ample time at the Tule tree, weaving village, and Mitla. It is very worthwhile to have a guide at Mitla. It's a small site, but worth the visit. The lunch was at a large tourist buffet and was quite mediocre.

Not as advertised, disorganized - Confusing booking process- booked “half day Mitla”, confirmation said “full day Mitla”. No guide on the bus with us. Guide was there at some locations but driver was silent/did not explain where we were going. Trip stops were not in the order in the trip description, some stops did not happen (like lunch). Overall not as advertised. Would not go with this group again. Prefer more organization and communication.
