Fun trip - Leída was a truly excellent host. She was warm and authentic and showed a lot of interest in getting to know her guests. Leída was also able to share a lot of cultural information throughout the tour. We appreciated Ricardo's proactive WhatsApp messages with meeting details 2 days before the trip as well as a follow up text with pictures after the trip. Actual tour was great. Lunch is at 3p (and unfortunately after a lot of tastings) so definitely eat ahead of time or bring snacks.

A Wonderful Mezcal Journey with Leyda! - Our guide Leyda made the Mezcal Journey a success.  We throughly enjoyed this tour because she and driver Jose Manuel always made sure we were comfortable, informed and happy. Leyda sat in the back of the van during the entire tour.  This was really smart.  Everyone could clearly hear her, and she built a good rapor with all customers. Our visit to La Fortaleza's maguey field where Leyda0 shared customs and practices of growing wild and domesticated agaves, harvesting them including trimming and finally, celebrations  with mezcal, such as the first sip comes from the agave leaf after a toast.     We then visited a pelanque to learn and see how agave becomes mezcal and then samples different versions including infused and diffusrd choices.   Leyda patiently explained each type and allowed many sips for us to determine our favorite! Our final stop was a delicious Mexican lunch at Doña Chica Ristorante with more mezcal pairings! We heartily recommend any Mezcal Journey tour with Leyda!

Overpriced - No vale la pena - This tour is overpriced & doesn’t get good until you get drunk. There didn’t seem to be a lot of substance to the tour in the first stages and it’s very quick.
