Great chocolate making experience! - Great experience - a friendly, private introduction to the world of Mexican chocolate. Martin was a great teacher! A very nice way to spend a few hours in Oaxaca (and to come back with delicious chocolate!)

Learn about cacao and really enjoy it! - If you really want to learn about the history of cacao and how chocolate is made, this is the place to go! We had Elvira as our instructor, and she was great. She took us through the different varieties of cacao found in the State of Oaxaca how they are used to make chocolate and what the differences are. I will never look at another chocolate bar the same way. We then got to make three different styles of hot chocolate, and I mean she made us traditionally make the drinks and then taste and comment on each one as to the differences. Absolutely outstanding! She was very professional and very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Highly recommended!

An incredible opportunity to learn about cocoa its origins and flavors. - Our experience was excellent, from trying the different types of cocoa and mixing it with different ingredients like cinnamon and chili. Even learn about the history of where each of these types of cocoa comes from. I would fully recommend this experience for anyone visiting Oaxaca and wanting to learn about chocolate. After the experience we could taste our chocolate in water or milk. And we also took the extra chocolate. We just need to go back and try the experience of making the chocolate bars.
