If You Love Food, You'll Love this Class! - The class is a complete experience -- educational, fun, and very hands-on. The trip to the market was informative and the chef who took us explained everything. She also allowed us to look around and explore, and to ask questions about other things in the market. In the kitchen, the chef and her assistant were patient, kind, and thorough. They carefully demonstrated everything for us before having us try on our own. I speak only a little Spanish, and communication was no problem -- both the chef and her assistant were able to clearly communicate everything in English when necessary (which was often). They also creatively accommodated one of the other participant's food allergies. Together, we made Mole, Tortillas, Quesadillas, and Salsa. At the end, we had an amazing dinner together. I highly recommend this experience!

Great, but a bit different from the description - Loved it. BUT, it was different than the description. We made 1 (easier) mole and several other dishes with a group. So I don't feel like I made a mole myself or understand the whole process now. All dishes were delicious and eating with the group was great. Would 100% recommend. But do realise that it might not be for you if you are only interested in mole.

Amazing authentic afternoon - This was one of our favourite experiences in Oaxaca! We had the most amazing chef, who showed us so much in the local market, and we learnt so much about making mole, tortillas, tortellas, salsa etc. When our chef found out I wasn’t the biggest fan of bananas, he bought a plantain and made the most delicious dessert out of it - it was mind blowing! A must do if you are in Oaxaca for a super authentic experience - thanks so much chef!

Best Experience in Oaxaca! - This was my most fulfilling experience during my stay on Oaxaca. Chef Victor was amazing, talented and so much fun! I would have gone back the next day if I wasn’t moving on to another city in my vacation travels. We shopped an authentic market, tasted and learned about many local ingredients, and spent the afternoon cooking a wonderful meal we all shared. I will definitely do this tour again with Chef Victor when I return to Oaxaca! ❤️

Fabulous Experience! - Really enjoyed this experience. Etnofood was a great venue for this cooking class. We were early to the class and had fresh orange juice and warm Apple French Bread that was to die for while we waited! The market was quite small but had all the ingredients we needed. Victor was very knowledgeable and a great communicator and cook. Staff were responsive and attentive in assisting our small group of 7 participants. Everything was well timed. The dishes were delicious and we enjoyed having lunch with everyone. Especially loved making the tortillas. On reflection the only downside was that while we cut and prepared all the mole ingredients we did not actually see how it was put together and cooked. Loved the fact that Victor was able to share all the recipes with us. HIghly recommend and would participate again.

Very average cooking class in Oaxaca. - The leaders were good. The amount of cleanup was excessive. Also, some of the meal was made by staff not us. We lost the opportunity to learn more.

Average - Although the guides were nice, it all seemed a bit superficial. Also, we did not see how the mole was prepared, because everyone has to cut/prepared stuff so you don't see what us added/combined in the end. After cooking and eating it was us doing the dishes, while the cook/assistants stood next to us talking
