Great food and great places - Guide was amazing and took us to some incredible places. Food was excellent. Being a private tour the guide made us feel like family and changed her Mezcal experience to take us to one of the most ancestral Mezcal distilleries in Oaxaca. The restaurant we visited was so delicious and we were alone.

Oaxaca Awesome! - What an amazing trip to Mezcal Country! Both guides were tremendous and full of interesting and insightful information. From the Tule Tree, to the weaving and dying demonstration at Teotitlan de Valle, to a Mezcal tasting and a absolutely delightful lunch….this was Oaxaca personified! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great full day excursion.

An excellent way to spend the day - We had a very pleasant and informative afternoon. Our guide Rosario was very knowledgeable and we were warmly welcomed at every stop. The mezcal tour and tasting were interesting and the meal was truly amazing. The chef created a special vegetarian meal for us that was among the best we had in Oaxaca. This is an excellent way to spend the day.

A Taste of Oaxaca - I found the experience to be really fantastic. The guide provided a narrative to the various places. The textile demo gave a wonderful insight into the process and design. The food was 1st rate. It delicious and paired well. And last, but not least, the process for making mezcal gave me the ability to appreciate its taste more.

Above and beyond our expectations! - The tour itself was so informative and fun. We learned so much from the traditional artisans about their respective crafts and were able to purchase some reasonably priced stuff to take home. The gastronomy experience took place at a mezcaleria near the end of the day and it was absolutely worth the wait. The food stands up to any Michelin starred restaurant. It is full of freshness and local ingredients and flavors while mixing other styles/flavors of cuisine (French, Italian, Japanese) aside from the traditional Mexican that can be found at most of the other restaurants in the city. After our 8 day trip, this remains one of our most favorite meals. Our guides, Rosario and Alberto, were exceptionally kind and really made the trip by personalizing it to what we really like and what they wanted us to see (and what they knew would be open during covid). Although the itinerary only mentioned food, mezcal, and textiles, they took us to see El Tule and a renowned candle maker in the same area as the textile maker where we were able to try making our own wax flowers while learning from the master. We loved this tour so much, we ended up booking two more with these wonderful people during our stay. We will absolutely be back soon and look forward to booking another trip with Rosario and Alberto!
