worth it fr - With a group of young girls Santiago was the best tour guide, he made us feel comfortable and educated us on a few cool historical facts. Asell as gave us clear instructions on getting to hierve el agua. Was the best experience and albaro the driver made us feel safe on the driver there and back! I would recommend this tour to anyone :)

Hierve el Agua highlights a fun day - Hierve el Agua was spectacular and the day produced some of our trip’s most dramatic photographs. The walk down to the bottom is steep and, though not long, the walk up requires a decent level of fitness. Sergio was an excellent guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and focused on our interests. We had a fun day.

Great way to spend the day and see the Oaxacan culture and countryside. - What an amazing experience! Tour bus with ac and stop at an artisanal Oaxacan bakery. Then on to Hierve. We hiked to the bottom-which was quite a trek-almost 4 miles(?) back to the top to the pools. Took about an hour and then spent time cooling in the pools-not too crowded-and then went thru the markets to get a much needed snack. Take good hiking shoes, hat, sunblock and plenty of water. The trek back up to the falls is quite vertical. We had the option to just stay at pools or hike but we wanted the whole experience! Met back with our guide and headed to a local restaurant for a buffet style meal, then a quick bus ride to the mezcal distillery where we tasted many different mezcal types. Santiago was very friendly and informative about the area and culture as well as mezcal. Our driver Saul kept us safe and cool! Thank you so much for an amazing tour!

Highly recommended! - This was an excellent tour. Our guide Santiago and our driver Juan were both professional & friendly, making sure that we got from each destination safely & without delay. Santiago also took the time to explain relevant cultural & historical context for the sights we passed during the drive, & made sure ti point out interesting features such as the Yagul cave painting. As vegans we didn’t expect the bakery to have any options for us, but Santiago went out of his way to make sure we knew what foods & drinks we could enjoy at each stop, including the little pieces of chocolate that he handed out as a welcome gift. We also had plenty of time to enjoy Hierve el Agua ( including a self-directed hike to several viewpoints as well as some time in the pools), a leisurely lunch, & many tastings of mezcal during the tour—& even made it back to Oaxaca in time to freshen up for dinner. A perfect day & highly recommended for anyone interested in a good outing during their Oaxaca visit..

A great full day activity - Santiago was an amazing friendly tour guide, was always open to feedback from the group. He started the trip by giving us each a piece of chocolate that his mother (I believe he said?) made which was so sweet and personal! We loved that! Easy meeting spot, bus ride felt like an hour but wasn’t notified of two stops before the hot springs- wish we knew that we’d be stopping at an arboretum and bread shop because it added a bit of time to the expected duration of the trip. The hot springs were an easy trail downhill and they were a little crowded (and the water was actually a bit chilly!) but otherwise what I expected based on other peoples tips. The mezcal stop was close to the hot springs and we also tried a wide variety of flavors which was nice, then about an hour long bus ride back to our starting point.

Highly Recommended Tour - Our whole group really enjoyed our tour! Getting to sample the local flavors at a bakery and Mezcal distillery was fun and a cool way to connect to the gracious community. I couldn’t recommend our guide, Salvador enough; he answered all of our questions and was a fun conduit for trying mezcal. We felt that we were in safe hands with our driver, Alvarado as well.

Unfortunately - The tour was cancelled but we were really informed about this just 12 hours in advance (evening at 8 pm) so we couldn't book anything else. No alternative was offered such as transport.
