Authentic and delicious Oaxacan culinary experience - What an amazing experience! Exploring through a busy market usually only frequented by locals to pick up fresh ingredients, via a mill to see maize processing, and back to Minerva’s BEAUTIFUL property to start making authentic and delicious Mexican food! We were on the maize course, so made tacos and empanadas and more, and some taste-bud-exploding salsas. All very hands-on, all completely traditional, and all washed down with a fabulous mojito from Minerva’s very talented mixologist daughter!! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a really genuine Oaxacan culinary experience.

Good times - This was a great adventure. Good food, good company. Loved going to the market and mill first. Mineras house is lovely with a garden that supplies her herbs and food.

Great Mexican cooking experience - Loved visiting the market with Minerva. She had an English translator which was helpful. Learning Minerva’s story and being in her home was a treat. We helped her make various items and her daughter made excellent drinks for us

Great time cooking with Minerva - The visit to the market before the cooking class was simply amazing to see the real locals and their day-to-day lives. The cooking class location was wonderful full of lush greenery, and beautiful flowers. Minerva was simply a class act. I appreciated her being inclusive of all the participants. Great chicken mole! Great fresh Mojitos!

Fun and Delicious Cooking Class - This was a fun, relaxing, and varied experience. We started with a tour of the city's largest market where Minerva bought our ingredients and showed us many things that were new to many of us. A short ride to her home later, and we all helped out making three salsas and mole coloradito. We then made our own tortillas and then quesadillas with zucchini flowers. After a cocktail (Mezcal and beer were on offer too), we made memelitas and then to round of the day, tacos with shredded chicken and mole. Throughout the class, Minerva made sure everyone had a chance to participate and explained the processes clearly. Here assistants were all very friendly and helpful and there was always a translator close by for those non-Spanish speaking members in the group.

My best day in Oaxaca - I cannot say enough good and positive comments about spending time with Minerva. From our walk through the market to cooking in her home kitchen, the experience was outstanding. Minerva is a kind and knowledgeable cook and shared many insights into Oaxacan food and its preparation. Our meal was delicious and the company was delightful. If I ever visit Oaxaca in the future, I will definitely take Minerva's cooking class again!

Excellent! - Minerva is an excellent teacher. She is kind and patient to her students. She is very organized - had printed recipes so it was easier for non-Spanish speakers to follow along the whole cooking process. Her food was delicious!
