Truffle extravaganza - We were stating in Bathurst wondering what Oberon had to offer. An online search revealed this experience. We were welcomed by Neil and Jill, who were stunning. A short truffle show was given, and as we knew nothing about truffles, we fund the into awesome. Then followed a small tasting, which was again amazing. Off to the tree with Sarge (truffle sniffer dog) and we, together with two other couples, learnt how to extract truffles, after Sarge found them. Back to the tastefully decorated meeting hall, and more tasting. We had a artichoke, spinach and truffle mix, then followed panacotta, and a truffle ice cream. Really, all to die for! This excursion is a must for anyone visiting the area. Most fun we had in the Bathurst Oberon area!

An amazing Truffle hunting experience and tasting the truffle delicacies. - Such an amazing experience and fun truffle hunt. A very interesting and informative talk on truffles delivered by Jill and Neil, the owners of Redground. We learnt so much about the process from start to finish. Then onto the truffle hunt with their trusted dog Sarge… he was truly amazing sniffing out the truffles with such accuracy. We then each had a turn to dig out these little gems. Onto the tastings that Jill had prepared earlier, which were absolutely delicious. Thoroughly recommend this experience to all. A fun morning on the beautiful grounds of the truffle farm with wonderful hosts. Thank you Jill and Neil, we will look forward to our next visit.

Truffle Hunting and Taste Experience - A wonderful weekend was had staying at Redground Truffle Farm in Oberon to go truffle hunting. We stayed in a lovely two bedroom cottage on the property with sweeping views, clear skies, stunning sunsets, oh and kangaroos stopping by. Truffle hunting with farmer Jill, the owner of the property, and Sarge the truffle hunting dog, who might I say nailed it every time, was really fun! Following our successful hunt we then went into the lodge to enjoy some delicious cheese, dips, panacotta and icecream which were all infused with fresh truffle Jill had prepared for us. In short , it was all simply divine! Thanks for a great experience Jill

Truffle Hunt - Had the pleasure of doing a truffle Hunt with Jill and Sarge the dog last weekend. The whole experience was wonderful. Jill and her husband Neil run the property and are so knowledgeable, I never realised how much is involved in growing truffles. Wonderful Experience - Wow! What a special experience. Highly recommend visiting Red Ground Truffles. Jill and Neil gave a wonderful presentation and are very passionate about what they do. I had no idea of different truffle varieties, and all the delicious ways of using them in food. The tasting was amazing especially the truffle infused panna cotta and beautiful nutty truffle ice cream.

Terrific Truffle Time - Absolutely awesome experience. The educational side of the truffle was so interesting and then backed up with the truffle hunt was the icing on the truffle 🤣 Staying at the Cottage was an added bonus - a win/win all round. Thoroughly recommend the truffle hunt experience and if you can, stay at The Cottage on the property.

A “must do” day trip or stay overnight. - This was a wonderful tour Jill shared the wonderful story of them setting up the farm and the science of the truffle whilst we savoured the warm cheese dish. The hunt was experience where we got to dig up the nuggets. Jill and Neil are meticulous and their farm is an absolute credit to them. We have lovely food afterwards where we discussed different truffle grades plus ways to use truffles A wonderful lunch, great hosts and a terrific experience. Lovely day or weekend away as it’s an easy drive from sydney.
