The Gypsy Gold 'Horses & History Farm Tour' was fascinating! To learn the story of the Gypsy Vanner and then be able to interact with the horses gave you a real understanding of why preserving this exceptional breed of horse is paramount. I enjoyed hearing of how those who live and travel in caravans place significant value and care in their horses, and how by chance, 'a hidden herd of coloured horses' in Great Britain found their way to Ocala, Florida. I can see the fascination with the Gypsy Vanner - a stout, strong, beautiful, friendly, and intelligent horse that has the most alert and communicative behavior. They are amazing! I could have stayed at that farm all day spending time with them! I will definitely return to this tour! 5 STARS!

I really enjoyed how Dennis explained the history, you could tell just the way he was talking that he really loves them. I had 4 horses myself and you have a special bond with them. I will be back soon with my other friends. Again Thanki you for the great experience. Deb Worthington

There is not much to do in this area of Florida, so we opted for this tour. I want to thank the staff for arranging to have a golf cart available to take my senior mother around to see the horses. She wouldn't have been able to walk the farm on her own. I appreciate this personal touch so very much. I would recommend that most visitors take the one hour horse tour offered in the afternoon, rather than the two hour tour offered in the morning. The first hour plus of the morning tour is the owner talking on and on and on and on and on and on about his life and everyone he's ever met, and some about the horses. Too much irrelevant personal information. Kids would NEVER be able to sit through this. They will have a blast petting and feeding the horses.
